Grace is a professional troll who will say anything to keep people reading and clicking.

@ScreamingMeMe

There are a couple of women in the twitter replies saying Grace is 'inspirational'. I'd love to know how.
Grace really inspires me.

Inspires me to make a donation to Sex Matters.

@Hortensiateapot even if the contrast wasn't intentional, it still did a good job of showing up how inane GL's witterings were compared with the other segments.

I was annoyed to see that the photo for WH on BBC Sounds was of GL peeping coyly from behind a crocheted snood rather than any of the other contributors featured. But then again maybe this helps to highlight how silly and self-indulgent GL's bit was.

Lol! I wondered if the person saying that meant something along those lines. It’s very hard to believe that it could have been meant in seriousness.

But maybe it was meant as a signal. I do wonder at what point desperate fawning over TW is going to become widely acknowledged as the objectively embarrassing behaviour it is. I have noticed that women who make it part of their persona to pander embarrassingly to men have almost no shame about it, and of course men just lap it up.

Beowulfa · 07/04/2022 13:59

I'm genuinely intrigued as to what Lavery thinks "the Patriarchy" actually is, and why they're not part of it.

littlbrowndog · 07/04/2022 14:01

Just listened to it

Found myself thinking about what to give the toddlers for there tea

Boring as anything. Droning on and on and on.

Imagine being taught by lavery

Maybe in the sense of 'sharp intake of breath'?

Grace's main twitter account has been banned but Grace obviously managed to keep a couple of sock accounts.

Ah, brilliant, @Signalbox, well done! I think you got the best bits - the magical gender-changing hot-tub - the rest was so much vacuous waffle I agree with pp, I'm not even arsed to transcribe it!

Quite a lot of older women avidly listen to Women's Hour - my MIL was one. She died very recently but not long before she died she suddenly went quite GC and was talking about not wanting males in female hospital wards, and I realised she had almost definitely been listening to discussions about it on Radio 4!

I can only imagine what she would have made of Grace's performance today.

I didn't know this person before hearing the radio today but I was Shock listening to it

FemaleAndLearning · 07/04/2022 14:21

"Gender critical people want the government to license womanhood." No we want biological sex to be recognised and single sex spaces upheld.
My book, my penis, my book, my feminism, my book, my book.
Scared of coming back to UK but felt safe! To promote the book, my book, my womanhood.
What a strange thing to say that just because no one came to the book launches to protests it means the gender critical movement is tiny! Ha ha.

FemaleAndLearning · 07/04/2022 14:23

Actually, I bet grace is really pissed Grace got kicked off twitter for wishing the queen dead rather than being 'bullied' off by that minority group of hostile gender critical womanhooders.

dropthevipers · 07/04/2022 14:24

This is all well and good (and it is) but for the full house of batshit mentalism we need Emma to interview Judith Butler-I would pay good money to hear that.

WinterTrees · 07/04/2022 14:26

Lynnthesearesexnotgenderpeople I'm raising my post-lunch cup of tea to your MIL, who sounds like a wise woman. Sorry for your loss.

Artichokeleaves · 07/04/2022 14:28

Gender critical people want the government to license womanhood

Do they?

Who are these people? Where is this written down or evidenced?

All I see is female people saying we need female only spaces, and those spaces have to mean female only, even though it really pisses off male people that they exist and they'd be much happier just cracking on excluding females and destroying their equality of access in peace. Because it's not all and only about the feelings of male people and answers have to work for everyone and not just them.

Yet more evidence that to some male people, unless it's happening personally to them, it isn't happening and doesn't exist.

Why would someone wanting the govt to maintain female only spaces waste their time protesting at someone utterly committed to removing those spaces and subordinating women? It's not in GL's power to give or take those spaces, and oddly enough females really don't see this as being all about GL.
