EB just asking for listeners' views on what BJ said yesterday. Special interest in hearing from people who are involved in sport and have been directly impacted by the argument around TW competing with women.

nauticant · 07/04/2022 10:07

That discussion about transwomen in women's sports was a long trail for a future programme, and was inviting participation from the audience. There's going to be a proper job on the issue it would seem.

CaveMum · 07/04/2022 10:07

Ooh, they’re going to do a special on the sport’s issue and want people to get in touch. They want suggestions on who to talk to and have invited Lord Coe to be part of it.

Get tweeting/emailing with your suggestions folks!

Mind you, Lavery doesn't seem to be someone who is closely involved with athletics.

Ah - sorry, thanks for clarification. I was momentarily distracted by someone wanting to talk to me. (They should know better.)

They moved on for now to discuss the maternity scandal so Grace will be on later.

@CriticalCondition

Looks like it is Emma.
Oh, my. I had plans.
Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/04/2022 10:18

From a female perspective either Emma Hilton or Sharron Davies would be perfect.

maybe later on, not in real time, my fingers don't work that fast these days!
nauticant · 07/04/2022 10:18

Would things be as bad as they are now had the Knoll brothers not invented Photoshop?

Their coverage of the maternity scandal has been excellent.

I really like the way EB has brought her Newsnight skills and mindset to WH. I initially missed the cosiness of the Jenni (enforced cosiness, in her case) and Jane days, but jeez - those feel like the dark times now.

nauticant · 07/04/2022 10:20

It's our Gracey!

WinterTrees · 07/04/2022 10:20

I'm listening around work meetings so if anyone could post the time when GL joins the discussion I'd really appreciate it so I can zoom straight there

Bobnotpop · 07/04/2022 10:20

I hope this is going to be good

CaveMum · 07/04/2022 10:20

Oh, it’s pre-recorded. Quelle surprise!
