The TRA religion are at it again prompted by one of the Witchfinder lackeys and his now deleted tweets.

Well so are we.

In my honest opinion, JK Rowling is brilliant, wise, beautiful. A protector of children, a Shield-maiden for women. She has shown more bravery and grace than the cowards around her. She never bows to their rape and death threats. She's probably the safest person around children that I can imagine. Especially the vulnerable and confused young people who have been persuaded by social media that they have been born in the wrong body and who have been encouraged to amputate body parts and take unnecessary and dangerous medication.

She's the definition of courage.
She is Lady Lionheart.

In what way was it transphobic? If you could use her own worda rather than some TRA's doing the whole "When she said this she actually meant this", that would be great.

Or the 'it's not what she said, it's the way she said it' we've seen often.

So now you’re question’s been answered, Jan, could you tell us why you disagree?

Deliriumoftheendless · 06/04/2022 08:13

Damn early morning grammar.

SamphirethePogoingStickerist · 06/04/2022 08:21

Come on @GoodJanetBadJanet You have had your question answered. JKRs own words, often mirrored by posters here despite what you may have been told.

So now it behoves you to do the same. In her own words, how was JKR transphobic?

As my grandma use to say - piss, or get off the pot!

GoodJanetBadJanet · 06/04/2022 08:33

That's strange, as I don't remember giving an opinion either way on the essay, I just asked a question?!
I never said anything about transphobia but have people exclaiming about pissing and pots.
Interesting that people are basically saying say it in her words, but don't explain why you think it is if you do.
How are people supposed to give you an answer then?

Deliriumoftheendless · 06/04/2022 08:40

Well now you’ve had an explanation do you understand why the expression “thoughtful and compassionate” was used?

Do you have any view on it? As you asked the question?

SamphirethePogoingStickerist · 06/04/2022 08:42

The old deflection defence! I see.

If I understood the slightly confusing "but don't explain why you think it is if you do" correctly, and in case you really are new to this, and, as ever, for Those Who Lurk:

The reason people here are using JKRs own words is that every time someon says "Oh that JKR, she is so transphobic" they cannot find a direct quote to back up their assertions. They provide Twitter links from others, articles in Pink News etc etc etc. but NEVER her own words. So we here continue to ask - what is it she has actually said that is transphobic? We quote her freely, as you have seen.

So, genuine question/s back at you @GoodJanetBadJanet

If you have read it and didn't see the compassion shown towards trans people what did you see?

What is it you are saying? Or are you just 'visiting'?

UsernameNotAvailableHmm · 06/04/2022 09:56

JKR - Protector

She has stood up, in defence, for women and girls, their rights, for single sex spaces

Not transphobic. Simply standing her ground for the hard fought rights of females. Stating biological facts.

MaryAndHerNet · 06/04/2022 10:03

Let's face it, some people have limited thought processes.

If JKR said,
"I really love Golf, Golf is a great game."
Some people would accuse her of hating Rounders and call her Rounderphobic or some such.

Phobiaphobic · 06/04/2022 11:01

I am in total awe of her. A phenomenally brave and principled woman. Thank you, Joanne!

schnubbins · 06/04/2022 11:34

is one in a million and we need more like her.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 09/04/2022 07:01

Just wanted to add that I think she is strong, brave and wonderful.

I hope she knows how much support she has amongst all of the vitriolic hate.
