The TRA religion are at it again prompted by one of the Witchfinder lackeys and his now deleted tweets.

Well so are we.

In my honest opinion, JK Rowling is brilliant, wise, beautiful. A protector of children, a Shield-maiden for women. She has shown more bravery and grace than the cowards around her. She never bows to their rape and death threats. She's probably the safest person around children that I can imagine. Especially the vulnerable and confused young people who have been persuaded by social media that they have been born in the wrong body and who have been encouraged to amputate body parts and take unnecessary and dangerous medication.

She's the definition of courage.
She is Lady Lionheart.

Steadfast, compassionate and honest. Creator of Neville Lingbottom, my favourite HP character. A friend to women and girls. I'm sure she's on here. Thank you JKR, so very much xxx

Fukuraptor · 05/04/2022 00:48

Courageous, Intelligent, Compassionate and Hilarious. Love her work and appreciate her standing up for women and for what is right and fair.

I don't blame people who think she is wrong (people are entitled to their own opinions) but I do wish they would stop ascribing ill intent towards Transpeople despite all the evidence that she is coming from a place of concern, not just for women and girls but also for non-gender conforming teens and transexual adults. She has been crystal clear about her motivation and how her views in this are formed, her work shows how seriously she takes prejudice and discrimination.

What happened to accepting that people could honestly and ethically hold different opinions about a topic?

"The world isn't split into good people and death eaters."

Amazing, admirable woman.

Bellagio40 · 05/04/2022 01:07

She is absolutely incredible

Snugglepumpkin · 05/04/2022 01:15

A national treasure.

A true heroine.

An amazing role model.

A genuinely brave woman.

Pro woman NOT anti trans.

IheartJKRowling · 05/04/2022 01:16

My user name says everything. I have total respect for her. She is a 21st Century Emmeline Pankhurst, defending women and showing strength in the face of vile misogynistic trolls.

PerkyBlinder · 05/04/2022 01:22

The complete embodiment of truly stunning abd brave.

I don’t know how she mentally copes with the constant onslaught of targeted hate and still speaks with wisdom, empathy, and the odd very witty one liner!

She is a true legend 🌟💪🏻

CorvusPurpureus · 05/04/2022 01:27

I'm going to go with...funny.

Yes, tough, brave & principled, but also she's absolutely on point every time with a precise, good humoured & quick witted take down. Very funny, & sharp as a tack.

GibbonsGoatsGibbons · 05/04/2022 01:38

An extraordinary philanthropist which seems to come from her extraordinary capacity for compassion.

Also my & my teen daughter's hero.

(But my god would you please write a bit faster woman I need more Robin!!)

ShowerOfShite · 05/04/2022 01:45

JKR is an absolute fucking legend.

SelfPortraitWithPterodactyl · 05/04/2022 07:38

She is brilliant - I am currently rereading the Strike books because a) they're very good and b) it makes me happy to have her book in my bag. She is so inspiring. I don't know about "Not worthy! Not woooooorthy!" Grin but I certainly wish I was more like her. Courage, honesty and compassion is a rare combination of virtues. She's a gem.

#TotallyNotACult

I know,, right?!
Turning myself inside out with cringe at some of these comments!
All bow down, I have a mental image of posters on the floor doing the Wayne's World '' We're not worthy, we're not worthy! '' at her feet lol

You should read some of the suffragette press if you think we’re cringe/a cult, they talk about each other like this too.

It’s a lovely show of female solidarity, or what used to be called “the sisterhood”.

Ive been on mumsnet for a long time, too long probably

But one of the things i will never ever understand is when there is a thread bringing support and positivity about someone or something that some posters who DON’T have any interest in agreeing feel the obviously overwhelming urge to have a pop

And boot licking….behave 😀 bet your friends have real issues writing your birthday cards, i bet they have to stick with to janet love your friend

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 05/04/2022 08:48

Seems we are allowed to use the cult word on this thread….weird

KittyLeMew · 05/04/2022 08:54

I’m always amazed at how obviously full of hatred and spite the #bekind crew are to the point where we aren’t allowed to say nice things about someone who is constantly trolled with death and rape threats for protecting the rights of women and girls. Bootlickers, really are we back in high school? I would report it, but I like having these kinds of nasty comments on show, exposes the truth Smile

Thank god that isn’t my life!

GoodJanetBadJanet · 05/04/2022 08:58

Grin No, just if they started saying I was a fucking queen, a legend they're in awe of, ovaries of steel, a gem, etc etc I'd be like
WTF, you alright, hun?! '' Grin

Juggins2 · 05/04/2022 09:03

probably on mumsnet I always wonder who she is and look out for well written posts! Too many of you write well to spot her though!

I'm a paediatric doctor with major concerns about the treatment of dysphoric kids and she is honestly my hero. Love you Jo!

Crcohetmonster · 05/04/2022 09:05

@Eeksteek

I thing she’s a wonderful champion of women and I admire her tremendously, but I do think she’s anti-trans, and it feels pretty pointed. It’s clear she thinks that it isn’t possible to be deeply feminist and pro trans and while I can see her point, I don’t agree. Although it’s a lot more complex than can be twittered in 160 characters (or whatever it is), so it’s probably a bust.
How is she anti trans? Do you have any links to anything showing this it is just being pro women’s rights anti-trans now? Would you define all those sending rape and death threats to her as woman haters?
