I think twitter has a disproportionate affect on what the media reports, but I'm not sure the general population put much stock in it.

I was just pondering: has Owen Jones always been this dogmatic? I still think he did some great work with his Chavs book, but was he the same person we're seeing now?

I wasn't familiar with his work before. I have read enough from him to spot him as a misogynist, though.

I'm not in the least bit concerned that Putin agrees with me. I'm concerned Joe Biden doesn't. I know I have my facts right on this as far as anyone does, so it's a worry to see any person I previously considered sensible taking the opposite position.

What has poor JKR done to deserve the attention of Putin. Can you imagine her on Thursday morning looking out the window at the beautiful day only to then discover that the madman has somehow cited you in their rants.

And then to add insult to injury all the tra’s have leapt onto the ravings of said madman as a way to once again prove their point that you are the font of all evil.

You just couldn’t make this up!

I did think, Selkies, that it all makes for a great novel plot.

Assuming there is a future and assuming that future is sane. I think you are right, though. At one point the dam will burst and all the swallowed angry opinions of so many will flood the public sphere and probably change things over time.

But the process has been incredibly costly for children incorrectly transitioned (with the health consequences which follow), for women's rights (as we are now rather rapidly going backwards in areas such as surrogacy, prostitution, pornography, and as the immediate winners will be from the right when the dam bursts).

Why aren't people telling certain misogynistic left-wing commentators that they must support mass murder because they agree with Pol Pot and Stalin that that we should nationalise key industries?

Can I just ask, because I've never understood this bit - what shape do you think 'history' is? You are presumably positing that it has two sides, yes? So is it a regular symmetrical shape, or do you see it as a kind of four dimensional geometric anomaly that is somehow only two-sided? Is it fixed?

I'm presuming you're positioning yourself as the 'goodie' on the 'right side of history', yes? Jolly well done, that must have been a difficult thinking process you went through to get there!

And when is the point where we stop and decide 'well, that bit was right and that bit was wrong, so clearly history was a rhombic prism that got a bit wobbly in the middle at this precise period of time'?

Lastly - how will we know when we get there? I do look forward to reaching the apex of history, it will be fun to look back and see everything laid out clearly, in this best of all possible worlds, won't it!

Did you believe Putin when he said he was going to invade Ukraine to stop the Nazis? If not, why believe a word he's saying now?

Have you ever thought he mentioned JKR because she is publicly donating millions to Ukraine through her charities? No?

Always ready to challenge my thinking. Can you tell me exactly on which points Putin agrees with JKR and the feminists here? Do you have links to where he's expressed concern about the erosion of women's rights? The safeguarding of children? Protecting single sex spaces?

I noticed something weird with this tweet from a transwoman claiming to have a period. They have 2650 followers, but over 90k likes on this tweet. Someone is obviously boosting it, but who and why?

I imagine it got retweeted a lot.
