Looking at period pants - and the first review is this.

Clearly getting a sexual thrill - and M&S have given it a platform. I reported, but still live - so I guess M&S are happily going along with this.

😫

Ereshkigalangcleg · 22/03/2022 18:07

Ugh. Men.

Glenthebattleostrich · 22/03/2022 18:09

Ewww, good timing to remind me M&S allows this. I was going to pop in at the weekend for some bra's for DD but will go elsewhere now

MrsOvertonsWindow · 22/03/2022 18:10

Bleurgh - that's grim. But I think M & S made a corporate decision to favour fetishists over clothing and safety for women some years ago (which is why so many of us abandoned accounts with them).

SirVixofVixHall · 22/03/2022 18:11

Marks and Spencers has loads of these sort of reviews, and I have seen them creeping in to Bravissimo of all places.

IcakethereforeIam · 22/03/2022 18:15

M&S? Should be S&M!
I suspect there are lots of things they sell that have been repurposed by fetishists, there was a post on another thread recently about baby new potatoes and cling film. If anything was holding them back from posting reviews.....
Mind you it's a logical progression, one man's fetish is another's healthy sexlife or true, stunning, brave gender expression.

FunnyTalks · 22/03/2022 18:16

I've seen similar reviews on Sainsburys website too.

They will all moderate reviews too but are clearly cool with men getting boners from imagining women's disgust when they read this shit.

It really annoys me because info from reviews are often crucial as to whether or not I will buy something.

Weirdly enough, a man with a sissy fetish and male shaped body adds no useful information for me.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 22/03/2022 19:39

My main objection is that the way these blokes write is so painfully boring.

"oooh, I bend over and flash my pink panties"

Clymene · 22/03/2022 19:41

God that's even more 🤮 than the Rosie lingerie reviews of which there are many.

SickAndTiredAgain · 22/03/2022 19:48

The mind boggles (but please don’t enlighten me!)

JellySaurus · 22/03/2022 19:51

I wonder whether they actually lose enough female shoppers to notice.

M&S probably think it's a win-win: as well as the traditionally female purchasers of their products, they must think that these sorts of reviews will widen their appeal and bring in another demographic of shoppers.

Betty91 · 22/03/2022 19:53

This is not just an AGP review, this is an M&S AGP review

FlowerArranger · 22/03/2022 19:54

@DevonTF - can you post a link so we can all report this post - thanks

FlowerArranger · 22/03/2022 19:54

Review, not post...

Plasmodesmata · 22/03/2022 19:57

Has been going on for ages. There was a thread on here about it some years back when M+S were busy letting these customers into the ladies changing rooms. One conclusion was never to buy M+S undies that are not in a sealed packet.

Plasmodesmata · 22/03/2022 20:10

Thread from 2020.

Link to the product - I shared on twitter, getting some down votes - but 8 likes. WTF. Please do report.

I was about to order them - but this review stopped me - I will not be ordering from M&S now.

Have reported.
Can other mumsnetters do likewise?
Please keep bumping so it shows on Active.

Datun · 22/03/2022 20:34

Ugh. Has an 'accident'??

Why cant they just delete these pervy reviews? They cant possibly imagine they're beneficial.

Flippy87 · 22/03/2022 20:36

I stopped buying underwear from M&S because of these reviews and the fact they allow men in the women’s changing rooms

Masdintle · 22/03/2022 20:46

I can't bear the word 'panties'. Even typing it makes me feel really uncomfortable. Just yuk 🤮

Melroses · 22/03/2022 20:47

I suspect there are lots of things they sell that have been repurposed by fetishists

I knew someone who worked for a company who sold fetish wear - crimplene dresses, 54 inch waisted fishnets and triumph doreen bras with the label cut out 🤷‍♀️

Underwear sellers used to know this and declined to share the self-platforming of these individuals.

DevonTF · 22/03/2022 20:47

When the changing room shite happened, I would order £200 - £300 of clothes every month - and return the lot with a note advising if I felt safe in the changing rooms, I could of tried it on and not wasted their time and postage….

Slowdownandsee · 22/03/2022 20:51

Have reported it didn’t know men were allowed in their changing rooms, usually shop online for m and s but won’t be going in there again, so disgusting to read that and think he could potentially be in same change room, my teen and her friends hate shopping in places where the changing rooms are like this, it’s rubbish for them in places like urban outfitters for eg.

Evasmissingletter · 22/03/2022 20:56
