I’m curious why many posters on here often find views they don’t agree with “disappointing” or similar. Genuinely bizarre that any grown up would object to other person politely articulating a genuine view.

I (genuinely) don’t care what Emma Watson believes about anything, and me being slightly irritated that she’s pandering to the mob over JKR (who gets enough undeserved shit as it is because people don’t bother to check what she actually wrote) doesn’t mean I wouldn’t defend her right to say what she thinks.
