Stumbled accross this on twitter. Matt Walsh, an American political commentator is on a chat show and confronts transactivist to define a woman and tells him that he is appropriating womanhood.

Then after being told that he has 'traumatised' the activists... He provides this response!!

Wow. He says sh*t straight.... Haha!

M&M’s are apparently getting a new look to become more ‘inclusive’

As in the chocolate? How do you make chocolate more inclusive?

beastlyslumber · 21/01/2022 11:35

M&M's too exclusionary? Should be M&MTF's?

“This is not a parody”

CuriousaboutSamphire · 21/01/2022 11:46

Ooh! Some of those respones Grin

The green one will become more female and show empowerment by being a swimmer
The yellow one will claim to be female and not lose its nuts
The red one will swim, suck at it, claim to be a female swimmer and then beat the tar out of the green candy repeatedly

Artichokeleaves · 21/01/2022 11:55

When did 'inclusive' get changed in meaning to 'pretending sex is something other than it is'?

Artichokeleaves · 21/01/2022 11:55

I mean, where's the disabled M&M?

Where's the one with beliefs/faith?

Where's the pregnant one?

There are nine fucking characteristics in the Equality Act. It is not the Gender Identity Equality Act.

Xoxoxoxoxoxox · 21/01/2022 12:04

why is the battleground always what is a woman, why not what is a man?

allmywhat · 21/01/2022 12:07

I saw a link to a parody article about M&Ms introducing a new character who identifies as a Skittle.

I didn't realise it was based on something real, and just as ridiculous. Grin

Thelnebriati · 21/01/2022 12:27

I am so bored of right wingers spouting 'left wing gender ideology'.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 21/01/2022 12:59

The transactivists on twitter are excited about this thread.

Mmm! And we are NOT being monitored? Grin

If any of you Twitterites are still here: We know he also has some abhorrent ideas. But that doesn't stop him beng right on this one!

We are, after all, not BORG.

TurquoiseBaubles · 21/01/2022 13:08

That's not surprising really. I've yet to see a gender ideologist on twitter who seems capable of separating out the opinion from the opinion-giver. So, in their view, everyone is either good or bad, and the opinions good people believe in are good, and the opinions bad people believe in are bad.

It's why they have to convince everyone else (and themselves) that JKR is bad - she has to be bad, otherwise people might just listen to her.

This guy is bad (and, yes, lots of his opinions are pretty dodgy), so therefore we all have to agree that every opinion he has on everything is bad.

It has to be simple - the ideology just doesn't stand up to any sort of nuance.

MalagaNights · 21/01/2022 13:11

Wow. Good.
We need people to say this out loud.

We can argue about differing views on abortion with Matt once we've got the world to agree a man cannot be a women.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 21/01/2022 13:12

Quite.

I can't even muster up enough interest to click on your link.

Helleofabore · 21/01/2022 13:18

That’s ok. I am sure those on twitter will be ever so comfortable about ALL the activists that on supporting trans rights too!

No? Strange that.

MalagaNights · 21/01/2022 13:20

I'm listening to The Ben Shapiro Show | Daily Wire Backstage: WE WON on Podbean, check it out! www.podbean.com/ea/dir-5gdek-123d6517

Matt Walsh et al discuss trans issue and the Canada Conversion Therapy bill on here.

Listen 55 mins in: Andrew Klavan suggests trans and the erasure of women is linked to a modern digust of women's bodies which is often present in dystopian literature and horror films.
Which I found interesting.

Warning: don't listen if you find right wing or religious views upsetting.

BettyFilous · 21/01/2022 13:30

@Helleofabore

Meh! Another group of males discussing what the word woman means.

And in the context that one of them draws their livelihood from posing in a bikini, hips thrust to emulate a female model’s pose, the use of the word ‘costume’ may have some relevance. The bikini must be custom made to fit a penis and testicles as it is certain not to fit a woman.

So, yes. Good on that man straight talking. But it was still a male to male conversation discussing the meaning of the word woman.

Yes, the male to male nature conversation did not escape me. Same old same old.

That is an interesting take.

Ikr? If only I had a single fuck to give.
Lockedoorsopen · 21/01/2022 15:57

Great response from Matt!! Right now where are all the rest of the men who know damn well they should be saying this too?

ItsCoachBombay · 21/01/2022 15:59

I'm not sure I can grasp all this. I'm new to all this only stumbled upon this thread and Matt Walsh by accident, the latter was a video on Facebook that popped up because it was shared by a male friend.

So, people now believe you can change sex, and take on the attributes/lifestyles/biology/life experiences of that opposite sex.

Surely if a white person said I identify as black, they would be absolutely and rightly so lambasted for this.

So if race is a protected characteristic that you must not appropriate why isn't sex?

I accept gender is a "society thing" but I thought we had moved past what is a girl what is a boy e.g girls where pink, no girls wear and do whatever girls want to do. Is this not a step back in to the "what is a girl/woman box". I mean what's the tick boxes now to achieve womanhood 😳

I accept that transgender people exist and wish to live without discrimination or hate, rightly so.

But how did we get to "you can now swap to being a biological woman/female" are they not just a transwoman? And myself born a biological female, a woman? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Or can anyone be a woman now? And if anyone can be a woman, what is the new definition of woman? And how are women's health care/sports/prisons/spaces effected by this new, for want of a better word free for all managed?

I'm confused. Honestly. I seem to have dissapeard down a rabbit hole of confusion and language I don't understand so may be showing my lack of education around this.

doublemonkey · 21/01/2022 16:01

I'm confused. He has a beard - but I agreed with everything he said..

What's going on?

Datun · 21/01/2022 16:02

What is beneficial about that clip isn't the opinions of some dodgy anti-abortionist bloke, but the complete inability of his fellow males to drum up not just a coherent answer to his question, but any answer at all.

A woman is, er, a woman. It's got all sorts of different meanings, depending on who you are, and what you want at the time.

We're back to constellations and ethereal waftings.

You'd think by now but they would have found some bloody thing to come up with. But no.

And we all know why.

And the absolute beauty of that clip is exposing the ideology for the risible jibber jabber it is.

The focus is now firmly on the people doing the responding, not those doing the asking.

Unfortunately, we've had to file these questions under "They Never Answer".
