To my mind, the only way the Tories can get themselves out of their self made mess is to shine a light on gender woo woo in the Labour Party. I'm guessing that was behind Wes Streeting's tentative "maybe we shouldn't say burn the witch all the time".
How can they not see how vulnerable they are when Liz Truss has become a more appealing prospect for women's rights.

Oh dear. I don't know if it's ego, but if they're talking about a rhetorical device that's actually having the opposite effect to the one they want, then it's not working is it. 🤣

That poster might feel they've convinced themselves, but to everyone else it just looks like one desperate contradiction after another.

We had a similar poster who enjoyed talking bollocks, culminating in telling the women here that their stance would affect the tourist industry.

Angry women don't really need to change anyone's mind. They just need to help people see what is actually happening. Many people are fine with transwomen using the ladies loos because they think a transwoman is a biological woman. They don't realise that they are actually a biological man. Once they do, they are no longer supportive. Most people don't think people can change sex and once they realise this is part of the ideology, they don't support it.

Yes, this is a good point. People don't know the terminology, or they assume genital surgery has taken place, or they assume cross sex hormones in a man effectively act as chemical castration, or they assume men who are trans are all gay, or they assume trans people are all full-time, or they assume men who are trans hate their penises and never look at them or use them and want to remove them. I should imagine the general public believe some or most of these things.

The only thing I think needs to happen is that honesty is used in any survey and mention no surgery needed and no numbers at all for how many have their penises removed. Plus that hormones do NOT mean no erections.

If every survey made that clear, I doubt anyone would be surprised at the lack of acceptance of males in single sex spaces. Except those hard of critical thinking or wedded to supporting something they know is untrue.

Let’s face it. Some posters that continue to push this are those who do not care about women, or who believe that woman should be mothering the world. And any woman who disagrees is to be monstered. Including demonized with exaggerated claims.

Luckily it is very few extremists. Most attempting just to shame women plop and run off, they know they only have emotive manipulation left. Even those are getting fewer now. Partly because they realise the ‘you are the hateful minority’ no longer works at all, because it was never true.

If exploiting voters on this issue means reforming the GRA, rejecting self-ID, clarifying that single-sex means single-sex, ensuring that male prisoners are not housed in women's prisons, ensuring that must schools inform parents in situations where their child is saying they are now a boy/girl, regulating the medicalisation of children, banning any surgery related to gender dysphoria on the under-18s, then I'm happy to be exploited.

I spoilt my paper last time, I'll do it again next time if I must. I am looking at SDP at the mo (they're unlikely to have a candidate here) and I'm going to start a thread asking what people think about their policy regarding this. I'm not sure whether to trust them or if it's full of weaselly words I've missed.
