This is not acceptable. I like that the DM includes a link to their website at the end of the article. Not sure the DM readership is their target market, but a nice touch.

Go witches go...

Chilling isn't it? Repeated death threats, abuse, intimidation, rape threats - all aimed at women speaking out. And all ignored by the numerous sanctimonious visitors who arrive on here with tedious regularity to tell women off for having unpermitted thoughts.

littlbrowndog · 29/12/2021 19:19

Great stuff on her site

Most discriminated against

Can’t they see themselves with their violence and death and rape threats

VelvetChairGirl · 29/12/2021 19:24

FannyCann · 29/12/2021 19:55

Oh goody. Feeling a bit broke, what with Christmas and one thing and another. But it's payday tomorrow. Definitely time I made a purchase. Team TERF looks good. 🦕🐍🦖

Whatsnewpussyhat · 29/12/2021 22:32

Wonder what sex the folks sending the rape and death threats are. I mean it's not very ladylike behaviour is it.......

Linguini · 29/12/2021 22:34

That's a blinding article

ArabellaScott · 29/12/2021 22:58

Wow. Well done to the Daily Mail for reporting these modern day witchhunts.

I find it quite chilling that certain sections of the media choose to ignore what's happening to women who dare to speak against the orthodoxy.

MargaritaPie · 29/12/2021 23:51

Are the Daily Mail Gender Critical? Every article they make on the topic is always in support of Gender Critical. So are almost all the comments.

Linguini · 30/12/2021 00:03

Are the Daily Mail Gender Critical?
They're definitely not woke, and they're not feminist.

Can non-feminists be gender critical?

TooWicked · 30/12/2021 00:08

I’ve got a T-shirt and have also had stickers from the Wild Womyn website. The T-shirt is great quality, washes really well, and they usually throw in a couple of free stickers with your order.

Imnobody4 · 30/12/2021 00:09

The comments are aboout 90% supportive. It's quite heartening reallly.

Linguini, I would describe them as socially conservative. Like many in the Red Wall that Labour lost in the last election.

Of course you can wonder about genderism without being either a feminist or woke. Think about your Nan, or if not your Nan, someone else’s. The average granny will know what a man is and what a woman is and will be baffled by pronouns and putting men in women’s prisons. Socially conservative is different from being fiscally conservative. You can be one without the other.

It's almost as if the only people who want men in women's spaces are a handful of obsessive cranks, while the rest of the country believes in reality.

What is your point Margarita?

Trying to scare people at being on the same page as the scary Daily Mail?

The Mail has a huge circulation. It's a socially conservative paper but then the UK has a Conservative government. Being "right wing" , "conserative" or "Conservative" is the horrible, scary thing you mught hope.

The Daily Mail frequently reports issues affecting women and children which other papers ignore. There's plenty to criticise the Mail and the Mail's btl posters but once I got over the horror of reading them one thing that does come through is that many of the btl posters don't like things which they see as unfair or bullying or unkind.

KimikosNightmare · 30/12/2021 02:09

Being labelled "right wing" , "conserative" or "Conservative" is NOT the horrible, scary thing you might hope.

KimikosNightmare · 30/12/2021 02:33

And of course Mail readers like people who stand on their own feet and make a go of things. They are not going to be impressed at targeted harassment of a small business and pusillanimous suppliers.

NonnyMouse1337 · 30/12/2021 08:03

Not surprising that a violently aggressive, homophobic and sexist social movement has been targeting Angela Wild, but glad to see that her experiences are being reported by the Daily Mail.
I hope she gets lots of sales due to the media coverage. I love her work and have previously purchased her stickers.

P.S. you know the usual losers that stalk these boards would be singing praises to the Daily Mail if it were publishing pieces supporting their ideology.

No, the DM is not gc. It's not feminist, even. It's just that the vast majority of people are in accordance with feminists when we say sex is real, and recognise bullying and terrorising when they see it. It doesn't take a feminist to recognise that rape threats are wrong, who'd have thought it?!
ArabellaScott · 30/12/2021 08:43

I hear the DM also predicts rain and winds for this afternoon; all right thinking people should of course denounce this propaganda at once.

catzwhiskas · 30/12/2021 09:46

And the comments are almost all in support of Angela. Nice to see everything out there with no words minced. Another ray of sunlight.

endofagain · 30/12/2021 09:51

Most people don't approve of rape and death threats. Thank goodness.

Needmoresleep · 30/12/2021 09:54

Ordinary people recognise bullies.

Its fine trying to stuff everything into an intersectionality framework, with a bit of Marxist analysis on top, but most people don't think that way. At the University of Life you learn that you won't agree with, or have much in common with, everyone but a bully is a bully whatever justification they use.

ArabellaScott · 30/12/2021 11:45

Yes. An ideology that uses silencing, force, threats and menace to advance its own interests works for so long. Then people realise what's happening and start to resist. Women and allies have countered this ideology without trying to threaten anyone, just by sharing evidence, information and well thought-through arguments. The difference in approach is quite amazing. And it's clear which one is emerging as rational, logical and fair to the general public.

MargaritaPie · 30/12/2021 12:54

They have merchandise (T-shirts and other) with the word "T*RF" on them.

If JK Rowling claims she isn't transphobic, why is she advertising a company which is openly transphobic. Because that's essentially what T*RF means.
