Bunch of amateurs. It reminds me of when I was a kid and we used to canter around neighing pretending to be horses because none of us had real horses.

In my defense we were 8 years old, not a Biochemistry undergraduate, and I still knew the difference between boys and girls and real horses and imaginary horses.

Maybe if they're changing the name of the game, they should also change the game. To something else entirely different. With different rules and without Harry potter inspired broomsticks. Plenty of different sports to choose from.

That is not a game in which you’d want to bend over to tie your laces mid-match. I can’t imagine anyone’s bothered to do a proper risk assessment and I’d love to know how many players end up in A&E. They’re dafter than the LARPers with wooden swords and LOTR robes that we see regularly in our local woods.

I'm not clear what they do about the golden snitch but either someone is throwing it or they have a battery operated "flying" ball thingy with wings.

Some good comments in The Times. Hope they change the article as it's a misrepresentation.

This is all just so stupid isn't it. It all kicked off on one of the fanfiction sites I used to like at the weekend because the author doesn't agree with 'the shit that woman says', but it's ok to keep writing the stories for the online ego strokes because the fandom belongs to them not her. The absolute hypocrisy and batshittery of it all.

These are adult people who play quidditch... so I can't give too much time and thought to their opinions lol
