And there is more twitter.com/GBNEWS/status/1466427114073305101

This story only continues to run because Harrop was stupid enough to go after JKR

ShirleyPhallus · 02/12/2021 18:34

My god, the Glinner thread on what happened to Caroline farrow is horrendous

The best thing about the Mail article is that it will be there in perpetuity, so every future prospective employer who searches his name won't just see the tribunal ruling against him, they'll see the Mail article with the screenshots of the tweets that he wrote. Plus the picture of him in his stupid pink jacket.

UncleTonyinahotpinkbrandbeanie · 02/12/2021 20:22

I don’t think he’ll be able to do what he did again in the same way, because women know and won’t stand for it.

He’ll not be able to return to Twitter in his own name and will have to either keep his Insta or FB private or the posts as banal as possible. That will be perhaps the biggest punishment of all for a man who is so desperate for kudos and glory.

Shedmistress · 02/12/2021 20:29

I never ever thought I'd say 'well done the daily mail' but that piece is awesome. Like proper awesome.

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/12/2021 21:22

The Mail also had very good articles today on the RCM climbdown and the American transathlete.

Isn't it? I knew a fair bit of it, but not the whole story.
Heddylamar · 03/12/2021 10:08

Pink News finally dips its toe in the water tentatively offering some degree of support for Harrop as the trans rights campaigner rather than the unhinged misogynist fruitcake

Personwithrage · 03/12/2021 10:13

Why have they called him Harrod throughout?!

Thefartingsofaofdenmarkstreet · 03/12/2021 10:19

Is it just me, or have Prick News dialled down on the ridiculous biased hyperbole in that article? Its just not very 'Pink Newsy'....

Maybe they are being a bit more careful now after the Julie Bindel thing?

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 03/12/2021 10:26

I have a new prediction.

A few years down the line when the tide has very definitely turned, Harrop will be bored as a gp and want another shot at fame and fortune.
He wants attention. He wants to see himself as a good guy.
So the way he will be able to get media attention again will be with extravagant apologies and articles on ‘why I changed my mind, says former Twitter troll gender gp’.
It will be perfect. Each of his former transgressions can give him food for more attention, plus he can use the years he will have then gained in general practice experience to be all ‘as a doctor, I have seen…’ about it.
He won’t be an early adopter of GCism or whistleblower but will try to make out he was.

Wdyt? Can anyone else imagine this?

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 03/12/2021 10:32

@Personwithrage

At least it wasn't Herod. Now, that's a bad look for a family doctor.

Indeed. I knew bits of it, but not the whole story. It is bullying plain & simple.

I have no truck for Ms Farrow's views in theory, but she seems like a good person, with authentic beliefs and integrity. She's posted here on occasion, and always seem like a good sort (to dissolve into Enid Blyton-speak!).

One thing I am learning from this whole mess, is how to balance my strong reaction to views with which I disagree, with an authentic and true sense of others' right to speak.

But in the case of the bullying of Ms Farrow, the bullies crossed the line from disagreement to childish playground bullying behaviour, driven by misogynistic hatred.

Personwithrage · 03/12/2021 10:42

Really encouraging comments on the DM article - once you spell out what he has done, the same conclusions are arrived at by the vast majority.

Masdintle · 03/12/2021 10:48

[quote PronounssheRa]Adrian's local paper does a better job of representing what happened than vice does

I wish they'd

Masdintle · 03/12/2021 10:50

Oops! Pressed send by accident! I wish they'd said 'women' instead of 'people' in the Liverpool Echo piece to show it is women he goes after online.

Heddylamar · 03/12/2021 14:22

@Personwithrage

Why have they called him Harrod throughout?!
It's a mixture , but probably confusing him with Herod , and his campaign to transition all new born baby boys

Its very understated as a Pink News piece. Its normally anything trans or gay is good, anything else , bad, and any dispute must clearly be in the formers favour

Another perspective from Debbie Hayton who identifies as trans and who was often attacked by Harrop
Hayden and Prior

Wasn't that Yaniv's MO also? Offering to drop litigation for $$$$?

See, that's how we are supposed to disagree with people.

Just say it... I disagree with you on that!

Doesn't make anyone Satan's half sister, or summink summink

Bloody ridiculous man.

Mollyollydolly · 03/12/2021 16:41

Pink News got an awful lot of pushback last week after the JK Rowling doxxing when they published an outrageous article even for them. Maybe people asking why any respectable news organisations has anything to do with them has made them have an atom of self reflection.

Thefartingsofaofdenmarkstreet · 03/12/2021 16:59

Same here. As a generally Liberal lefty (OK, centre lefty) this issue is the first time ever really that I have been on the 'wrong' (lol) side of the debate. And it has taught me a lot about listening to others who I disagree with on other issues and realising that they are not necessarily terrible people, they just have different views to me. I think about how I thought and spoke about these people before and cringe a bit now!

That's very thoughtful of good. Great way of approaching the topic.
AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 03/12/2021 17:30

Thoughtful of you. Not good!

"Tribunal truth" eh! We can't object to reading loads of "truth."
