Nobody so happy to harrass others & bring the entire profession into disrepute should be left to practice until they can show that they have actually educated themselves about the beliefs of Gender Critical people which should be respected as they are protected in law.

I frankly doubt he can be any good as a doctor if he does not believe in human biology so merely voicing that opinion makes me concerned any current medical teaching is fit for purpose.

It's so expensive and time-consuming to train a doctor he'd have to do a lot to get struck off - actually harm or kill someone. What he did must have been serious to have got even a month's suspension.

I hope he now shuts up and disappears into oblivion, getting on with the important job he trained for… although what woman would possibly want him as her GP?

Unlike some I mention, I have no wish to see someone lose their job over their views. However, I hope the (disgraced) dr will learn a lesson from this, a challenging, yet important and unforgettable lesson.

It's not his views (odious to me as they may be) but the way he expressed them and tried to silence others views. I'd have seen him lose his job over this, having followed his posts at the time I don't think he's fit to work with the general public at all.

Good result. Was hoping for a longer suspension. Don't think it was proportionate for him to lose his job. Hopefully he'll reflect on his behaviour and learn a lesson from this.

That is some stalker behaviour. 'Deplorable' is too mild a word.

And TRAs are pretending he was just speaking up for trans rights. Good thing the evidence is online for everyone to see.

He did enough, IMO (but obviously not the Tribunal’s), to be struck off the register.

He repeatedly doxxed people. He posted pictures of the children of at least one of his targets and joined in with twatter conversations about them. He expressed views which, if race were substituted for the Catholic faith, would have been regarded by a neutral as hate speech.

How can he be regarded as fit to practice in this country? A month was much too lenient.

He is a proper nasty bastard. I didn't even know half of the things he'd done to poor Caroline Farrow. What a horrible little man.

Just read Glinners post, had read quite a lot via some other Twitter threads on Harrop plus the hearing but jfc this is so much darker than I thought (and I thought it was dark).

Surely she can sue for harassment? The blog? The puppet account? The doxxing? All the stuff about her children? The tweets about her husbands church and the pics of the Surrey Hills etc?

How the fuck are these people getting away with this stuff?

That link was quite a rabbit hole. For those who don't want to burrow, it is basically an argument that someone from twitter was having with Maria McLachlan. An article by feminist academics was published on Medium stating that humans can't tell sex 100% of the time and that there is a chance the odd butch woman might be mistaken for a man. McLachlan then refers to a pic of the twitter person and her wife, explaining that the latter could be mistaken for a man. The twitter person then calls McLachlan homophobic, and Harrop joins in.

It's a shame it's not a longer ban he deserves to be erased imo

I have no doubt hes already got one, but when its "anonymous" and has to stay anonymous wheres the fun for him. His whole schtick is the power he holds by being a dr, if he cant wield that power, it's not fun for him.

I've done a grumbling comment on that Times article, but doubt it will be published. Misleading headline and certain facts omitted which make Mr Harrop look like he was just expressing his beliefs and not threatening women.
