I can't find anything either online including Twitter. I must be very, very blocked indeed. Don't know how, I'm very tame online and on SM.

The Vice article was spectacularly stupid. Yes, not strictly speaking unlawful. But I expect he is regretting that now. Also, the release of the witness statements into the public domain - horrendous.
I wonder who advised him (someone must have - and it definitely wasn’t his defence attorney) that this would be OK.
I think, as much as the Vice article, that tweet of his to a junior medic will be quite influential on his sanction. I think the Tribunal referred to it as “flippant”. In that tweet, he basically said that the disciplinary process would go away if you make the right statements (I’m so sorry, regret, learned, reflected, addressed, blah-de-blah).
I get the impression that the Tribunal has seen right through this, and Harrop has only himself to blame.
However, I think he will be seeking to martyr himself on the back of this (with the help of Ben Hunte and his other less savoury mates), and reinvent himself as a wrongly “convicted” trans-advocate and TV personality.

This is, of course, his choice.

But I suspect he may find that doing so is incompatible with being a doctor.

The other possible flaw in that plan is that he comes across on TV as a pompous, charmless wazzock.

No mainstream channel would touch him after this ruling and the huge amount of online noise he has created.

I’m not hopeful of the sanction he deserves (a year’s suspension) but with any luck he’ll get a short one.

The release of unredacted witness statements was a spectacular misjudgement. Not only has it doxed a number of innocent GMC employees and members of the public, the statement of one woman shows that ‘deplorable’ is too mild a word for his behaviour.

Maybe he’ll move to Spain or wherever it is & join the Webberlys.

In his evidence I think he said that some people, including his mum, had advised him to get off social media and focus on his professional life.

As I tell my daughter, it is always worth listening to your mum.

Seriously though, these are the people who care about him. The rest are using him. He may be a celebrity in TRA circles for a few weeks but that won’t last. If he has any sense at all, he will accept his sanctions and then lay low until he can return to general practice.

Isn’t he married? You would hope that his husband is telling him that he is working losing his job as a doctor to chase what? He’s not going to be a TV doctor, or a ‘go to guy’ for statements on anything.

If he had any sense, he wouldn’t have done the Vice interview in the middle of his tribunal though. Or allowed himself to be photographed with his terf repellent badge.

He seems to suffer from a woeful lack of judgment.

If... IF. I suspect he is just listening to the voices in his ear from people who quite enjoy the drama of others, the drama it creates and the drama of someone else’s stress and misery. Users basically. Emotional vampires.

I do pity any women in his circle because he is not going to lay blame where it belongs, at his own feet, and certainly not at his "friends" who will turn their backs. No his misogyny will shine through and it will be women at fault.

I think a lot of the tractivist crowd, male and female, have a deep-seated resentment of their mothers. It's part of their psychology.
