The Vice article was such an own goal. It has made it really easy for the panel to doubt his level of insight. And if he is suspended with a review it’ll rear it’s ugly head again for sure at a review hearing. Bravo Harrop 👏

All the witnesses and more besides are currently being threatened by a malign Twitter account which is threatening to publish the unredacted statements.

It’s frustrating the tribunal hasn’t addressed this leak.

The defence are being totally dismissive of what Harrop has admitted to, he admitted to intimidating a woman on twitter, he admitted to wanting her to be afraid. FFS.

Dear lord. If I was Harrop, I would be having a serious word with these people. They are going to ensure that he doesn't work as a doctor for the rest of his life.

For those of us working in related fields there are so many situations where you need a legalistic and elegantly understated yet also uncompromisingly brutal form of words for, 'well that's some bullshit right there'.

That is a particularly fine example of the genre.

Surely yes, that needs to be reported immediately? Whoever is behaving in this appalling way is obviously someone involved with the tribunal with access to the paperwork. There's no professional sense of responsibility or basic standards anywhere in this lot, what a really stupid time to be demonstrating it. Again.

I don’t want to link to the account, but it’s posting screenshots of unredacted statements naming witnesses, including witnesses whose testimony wasn’t used.

It’s spent the past week undermining and attacking all the witnesses involved in the case.

It’s strongly linked to Dr Harrop’s golfing pal.

That’s my impression too.

Again, many thanks to @Motorina for making it all clear in layperson language.

Apologies if I’ve missed this explanation, but what does ‘erasure’ mean? Is it the same as ‘struck off’?

Please pass this onto the GMC. I quite understand why it wasn't used in this hearing - primarily too little time to investigage where the material had come from - but the GMC needs to know that confidential information relating to witnesses has been put in the public domain.

If it turns out that that was done by a GMC employee or a GMC registered doctor then they can take action with regard to that.
