JKR wasn't just standing up for herself and her family. She was standing up for all the women, same-sex attracted, and children who have no voice to highlight that TRAs are using aggression to attempt to supress people saying the truth.

Women are women, same sex attraction is not attraction to opposite genitalia, children should be safeguarded from unnecessary medical procedures.

You haven't been subject to a couple of years worth of death threats, malicious news articles, and frankly lies being printed about you. JK could have reacted to many many of these, she didn't, I guess this one crossed the line and JK has decided enough is enough. Who can blame her.

You're quite right, but in her tweet she asked for any reposts of her address to be removed because she didn't want knowledge of it amplified further, now worringly it has increased incredibly.

Highly unlikely anything will, I’m sure her security is spot on. TRAs won’t be the first lot of people with loose grasps on reality to have crossed her path.

That wasn't at all aimed at you - I was also surprised at the quote because it seems to (my admittedly superficial) understanding to be false.

It was more at posters who seem determined to state that these 3 did nothing wrong. They absolutely did. It seems incredibly unlikely that some of this wasn't an offence of some kind.

How about: We're talking about a woman who lives in a home with her family and three PR hungry people eager to promote themselves through their denigration of her. Their show of 'we know where you live' intimidation of her. Their 'we are now victims of mass abuse that is really just people telling us we were in the wrong' lies.

The fact that they are in the show biz industry themselves, and would. be very well aware that you should never dox someone in this way seems to never have occurred to them. The fact that they have betrayed the trust of anyone who now works with them that may not agree with them and therefore they may never work with that person again. Because you just don't even think about doing what they did if you are relying on others to hire you in that industry.

And strangely, it is actually not to do with their opinions. It has everything though to do with the act of opening up another person in the industry (or any other industry either) to harm through your shameless promotion of yourselves.

The fact that posters cannot see this gross negligence in these 3 people's actions is just another display of the lack of critical thinking they themselves display.

The message we're getting on this thread is it would have been better for JKR to have said nothing and to have suffered this threatening boundary crossing in silence.

That's what she's been doing for 2 years. Being silent, which was a decent strategy, has led to those attacking her being emboldened and now some of her critics have turned up at her house.

She decided that, just for once, she'd make a stand. Apparently it was wrong of her to do this and everything is best when she's a non-responsive punch bag for trans activists.
