It's okay to let people be who they are.

OP posts:

Is non-binary a gender?

ChakaDakotaRegina · 14/07/2021 00:53

What does this have to do with feminism? This is still a feminist board.

NonnyMouse1337 · 14/07/2021 01:00

Relax, everyone is non-binary. Pointless having a day for everyone.

MotionActivatedDog · 14/07/2021 01:00

Dammit- I forgot to post for cow appreciation day yesterday! Happy belated cow appreciation day everyone!

pitterpatterrain · 14/07/2021 01:01

Why are the “non-binaries” trying to force fit the allocation of everyone else into two boxes of gender stereotypes so that they can compare themselves against it?

Honestly I don’t get it.

I try and wrap my head around it but come back trying to ponder the lack of empathy or understanding “non-binary” people seem to have for the vast majority of people who are just existing - not stereotypically this or that - just individuals like everyone else

I find it sad. Why can’t people be who they are?

BadGherkin · 14/07/2021 01:45

Absolutely nothing to do with Feminism. Perhaps OP could lobby MNHQ for a Non-binary Board, to open up discussion in an appropriate place?

PandorasMailbox · 14/07/2021 01:54

Happy dust bunny day everyone!

I know right? Why can't people just be themselves, instead of defining themselves by stereotypes?

The burning question is how days, weeks and months are allocated. They overlap, different things get a day or month, seemingly without any weight whatsoever.

I want to be in charge of the ribbons and days. It would be the Bureau of Ribbons and Days. BORAD for short.

NiceGerbil · 14/07/2021 02:41

OP when is genderfuck day?

I have a friend who IDs as genderfuck.

chickenyhead · 14/07/2021 02:55

Happy non binary day!

When is I have no gender identity day?

NiceGerbil · 14/07/2021 03:56

I looked for genderfuck day and no luck Sad

This is exclusionary. A day for every gender or none. Classic hierarchical binary thinking.

I haven't checked agender.

I hope you have a day.

NiceGerbil · 14/07/2021 03:57

Agender day. You're looking for.

How exciting!

I've been wondering if I am non-binary. I watched the Euro 2020 final wearing a skirt the other day. I felt masculine when shouting 'Come on England' and feminine when I put on lipstick on in the morning.

That makes me non-binary, doesn't it?

So much this. We had a school assembly which compared non-binary and 'binary' people. Apart from being fucking insulting, it created a binary!

Forum topics are still a thing, right?

National Pie Day is the one I'm looking forward to the most (23rd jan if anyone else wants to celebrate)

drwitch · 14/07/2021 06:54

I think this is what gets me most about the X passport case. The upshot would be imposing/assigning everyone else to a GI Joe or Barbie box

Pi day is 14th March.

3.14.

Ahhhhhhhh....

picklemewalnuts · 14/07/2021 07:02

I had an interesting discussion in a church group last week, about the church's approach to identity and sexuality. Out of ten of us, all in straight marriages, all looking middle aged and boring without a tattoo or a blue hair between us, three quarters had questioned their sexuality and identity as teens and young adults.

We're all non binary, even the straightest most conventional looking church goers. So happy day everyone.

A day for each gender will clip some people’s wings. 365 will never be sufficient to capture the full diversity of gender identity. 🤷‍♂️
Ereshkigalangcleg · 14/07/2021 07:33

Everyone living or who has ever lived is "non binary".

Ereshkigalangcleg · 14/07/2021 07:37

Happy National Nude Day!

Some of the obvious benefits of the lifestyle include lighter luggage when traveling for vacation and as mentioned before, smaller loads of laundry.

drwitch · 14/07/2021 07:40

My fils dream post retirement plan was a van selling "binary pies". - One choice of pie you either bought it or you didn't
