Preferred names for streamlined feminist sections on MN.

MN have stated they intended to streamline the number of sub forums on the feminist board. They have proposed that one section is called sex and gender. Many of us feel that any section dedicated to discussing sex based rights should include the word feminism. There are multiple threads running discussing this issue but I thought it might be useful to have a single thread where @MNHQ could see the preferences of regular users in the hope we can agree on a board title which accurately reflects the subjects being discussed.

This is not a discussion thread, it's intended to collect the suggestions for board names in one place.

Two sub sections will remain in the streamlined feminist topic. The stated intention is to allow room for discussion about women's sex based rights on one and a second for more general feminist discussion.

How would you prefer these sections to be titled?

My preferences are:

Feminism and Women's Rights
Feminist Chat

Mine are "how much traffic to this site is driven by FWR" and "how many paid subscribers are you going to lose over this?"

(But I like your suggestions if they have to do this, which I hope they don't)

Whatever the outcome it needs the word feminism. Maya Forstater has fought for women's right to speak about their legal status. And she won.

The name of the board should directly be linked to the fight for women's rights. If it is called anything else, it shows that Justine as well as all those who mounted the email campaign, still have little understanding about this fight.

Keep it how it is. It is not popular and if MN proposed a change in any other context that posters vehemently disliked (as most do regarding this) then they'd back off. Once again there are different rules for FWR.

I still think it’s utterly unnecessary and disappointing but if MNHQ are going to capitulate to a few noisy males voices over this then those two suggestions sound good. Or Feminism and sex based rights.

I think if I hadn't been following this conversation I would be pretty unclear as to the difference between the two.

Not offensive to anyone surely? I'd imagine the first would basically carry on much as this current board with a full range of topics. Few of us would be interested in the lib-fem board, and those that were so keen on it who never bother to start any threads anyway will be free to talk about how porn and sex work is liberating to women and various 'be kind' sentiments

I suspect everything will end up in feminism womens rights anyway... if we're allowed to no longer tiptoe within it then that could be in our favour.

Girls rights... Specifically for discussion abouts sex based rights in schools and society. Or even just Children's Rights.

If they insist on splitting I don't really mind what the two boards are called other than they both need Feminism / Feminist in the title somewhere otherwise it feels like another of our words is being taken away.

I like this too.

Feminism is about women's rights and sex is pretty bloody central to this and where threats to feminism and women come from, and gender ideology is at the root of why this board split it happening.

Femalist discussion for the new board and Feminity chat as a slight rename for the existing board, as suggested on another thread.

We need to be clear that for this group feminism relates to adult human females not all that aspire to feminity

I actually don't want the board for those who want to shunt us off to some hidden area to be able to call itself 'feminist chat'- given they've wanted to take that title away from us and shunt us onto a board with no reference to women or feminism in its title.

If @MNHQ want to separate the boards, then we need to be able to keep feminism/women's rights in our title. Disgusting if this gets taken away.

If others want a different board then call it Lib-Fem, so it's clearer to all what the discussion is likely to be on each board and people can ignore the one that they're not interested in.
