What do you think of Andy Ngo?

This is a bit of a tenuous link to feminism, it’s probably more about free speech, but I saw that a member of Mumford & Sons was criticised for praising his book (about antifa) and that his book had previously been banned from Amazon. It seems a bit like TRA tactics and a similar response to Abigail Shrier’s book. I’ve just bought his book to read but I was interested in other’s opinions of him and/or the book. Is he speaking the truth and people are trying to suppress it (similar with feminists) or is he exaggerating and not someone to praise?

Actually, you could get a book about a literal Nazi instead! Get Schindler's Ark, which is about Oskar Schindler, who was a card-carrying Nazi member. Possibly the only Nazi party member to be amongst those memorialised at Yad Vashem.

...and for the record: Every single one of them at the rally in Charlottesville was AT LEAST comfortable with Swastika flags being flown along side theirs.

Tangential question, has anyone ever seen a modern be-swastika'd Nazi wannabe that they think would have been treated as any more than cannon fodder? Even when I was a kid, and the thugs were 3 times my size, they were so clearly overcompensating for something. Like lack of personal hygiene, and having been turned down for the British Army after answering the name question wrongly on the application form

The actual Nazis hated the thuggish types who identify as Nazis in the modern world. Cannon fodder was the best they could expect, but a lot were sent off to concentration camps under the criminal or antisocial categories.

They try to graffiti Nazi slogans on things and they can't spell half the words in a 3-word slogan. And they kid themselves they'd be living it up as part of the master race if Hitler had won the war.

He almost reminds me of Roger Moore, although from a different part of the political spectrum.

He says some things that are probably worthwhile, and sometimes you can get some useful stuff from him, and he is probably doing what he thinks is worthy. But you know he may be fudging things, because he thinks the ends justifies the means, and you can't trust them.

He's also been inappropriately vilified as is common these days.

We can agree that the far right exist and are dangerous Hibari. Throwing unproven accusations of Nazism at mainstream right wingers doesn't help. Neither does minimising violence against groups of people whom you dislike. Dehumanising them. Can you see how extremist this is? Where have we seen this before?

I think she's got good reason to criticise the left.

This thread has just confirmed my position that this obsession with trans people on MN is a manifestation of being aligned with the alt-right. Considering the alt right would want my dead because of the colour of my skin, I would not want to affiliate myself with this type of ‘feminism’.

"It must be because you're racists" isn't very convincing. Could you substantiate that in some way?
