Trans rights are a part of women's rights

ASugar · 04/03/2021 09:16

Trans people don't negatively affect women's rights. They are a part of the women's rights. Both trans men and trans women experience oppression based on being female/a woman.

@FlibbertyGiblets Incorrect. Trans men are born female which is why some women's rights concerns affect them. However trans women are mental and some affect them as well.

@highame

I was busy watching the JR on another thread, so missed all the hoohaa. I'm wondering if this thread is the same and if it is, all I can say to everyone, you are MN heros for sticking in here for the sake of education and fact Flowers. I'm off
Same highame

One assumes I’m allowed to say that without getting deleted

AlfonsoTheTerrible · 04/03/2021 09:48

OP, your posts make no sense at all.

DayBath · 04/03/2021 09:48

@MichaelMumsnet can you tell us why OP hasn't been deleted/banned when they admit they are just here for screenshots for Twitter? Other posters have been banned for doing exactly that.

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 04/03/2021 09:48

Wait

asugar

Seriously you might want to rephrase your last post

This one

AaronPurr · 04/03/2021 09:49
@AaronPurr It was sarcasm in the last post and the MumsNet administration worker agreed on that.
Sarcasm to say you were only here to test posters and get screenshots to post to twitter? I'd love to see MNHQ response to that, as it certainly didn't read as sarcasm to me and many other posters.

poshme · 04/03/2021 09:49

How is the OP allowed to write 'trans women are mental' and it be Ok?

purpleboy · 04/03/2021 09:49
@Alltheprettyseahorses

I understand that. However the way I see it is someone living in country can't claim it is their ethnicity, however they can become residents of that country and be recognized as a citizen. That's the way I see it. So are trans women biologically female? No. However they are women of a trans experience.
Op that's really transphobic of you! You are saying transwomen aren't biologically female, goodness what would that make them?

ErrolTheDragon · 04/03/2021 09:49

Let's assume that was a typo.Confused

trans women are mental

You trying to reel me in? 😂

ASugar · 04/03/2021 09:49

@DayBath Because as a woman I have the right to speak 🤍

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 04/03/2021 09:49

Interesting analogy.

You'll be aware that most countries have certain requirements before granting citizenship (residence, income, knowledge test (!))

What requirements do you, personally, think there should be for granting 'citizenship' of womanhood? Does saying, "I really feel like I belong here" cut it? Something else?

teawamutu · 04/03/2021 09:50

Does anyone have a good recipe for pineapple upside down cake? Bought a pineapple despite all previous experience suggesting it'll just rot in the fruit bowl.

TeaAndStrumpets · 04/03/2021 09:50
@AaronPurr It was sarcasm in the last post and the MumsNet administration worker agreed on that.
WTF sarcasm banned?????

lunar1 · 04/03/2021 09:50

@Alltheprettyseahorses

If a woman is someone who uses she/her pronouns (I'll widen that to equivalents in all languages, I'm not Anglo-speaking-centric) does that mean there are no women in Japan? Because I rather think there are.

As an extension of your thinking, I am more confused than ever. I assign female pronouns to my cat.

poshme · 04/03/2021 09:50

I'm not sure anyone has a 'right' to speak on MN.
They can kick people out if they want. And they do.

DayBath · 04/03/2021 09:51
@DayBath Because as a woman I have the right to speak 🤍
You don't have the right to break forum rules more than anybody else though. Woman or otherwise.

ASugar · 04/03/2021 09:51
@FlibbertyGiblets Incorrect. Trans men are born female which is why some women's rights concerns affect them. However trans women are mental and some affect them as well.
Apologies. Trans women are women.

OP posts:
minchinfin · 04/03/2021 09:51

Surely transmen want to be a part of men's rights don't they? not sure you really should be making sweeping statements like that OP and deciding for other people.

BlackWaveComing · 04/03/2021 09:51
@DayBath Because as a woman I have the right to speak 🤍
Shame you don't extend that right to women who disagree with you...

Sophoclesthefox · 04/03/2021 09:51

Good grief.

risefromyourgrave · 04/03/2021 09:51

So if transmen need women’s rights and transwomen need women’s rights, then vice versa transwomen need men’s rights and transmen need men’s rights.

So the mantra should be ‘trans rights are men’s and women’s rights’, ignoring all the conflict between the two?

testingmitb · 04/03/2021 09:52
@FlibbertyGiblets Incorrect. Trans men are born female which is why some women's rights concerns affect them. However trans women are mental and some affect them as well.
unfortunate phrasing there OP. It sounds like you're saying trans women are mental. You might want to look at what you're posting before pressing the post message button.

YouAreMakingShitUpNow · 04/03/2021 09:52

Hi op,

You have reminded me of the time a man mansplained opening a train door, because you know without a man pointing to the open button, I may have been stuck on that train forever (or at least until another man came to rescue me).

God women are so stupid aren't they?

Also, in your last thread you mentioned earlier with women and girls, please tell your employer your views that rapists should be in prison with vulnerable women. They need to know this.
