If and when you see threads plopped into FWR, especially a curious repeat of well worn topics, maybe check for poster history before engaging. AS is your friend.

There are a number of posts/posters/threads that are reproduced on Twitter or Facebook to foment controversy using screen shots & flagging to either MNHQ to have threads or posters deleted.. Sometimes, it’s used to approach commissioning editors with ideas for articles. It’s a tiresome tactic that we always have community disruptor posters who themselves post the comments that they then highlight elsewhere as purported evidence of racism, religious intolerance, anti-men sentiments, or transphobia.

This thread will be taking a leisurely stroll through the foothills of community disruption, noting the behaviour of wildlife and interesting flora and fauna en route.

Cold mushy peas are good in a sandwich with something salty like bacon, fried diced chorizo or back pudding.

My father ate vinegar sarnies sprinkled with sugar.

I've embarrassingly sweet savoury tastes myself (I like BBQ sauce, or honey dressing with salads) but I've not tried this nor do I intend to make it a family recipe passed through generations.

Honey and Marmite sandwiches (using sliced white bread, natch) are Lush.

That's what I thought. Then I tried one, reluctantly, because it had been made for me as a treat by my then-husband and he was being so Anxious, and amazingly, it was great. Sticky, but great.

But then you lose the subtlety Midge. I'm not adverse, and I do like the softness of the bread followed by the crunch of the crisps, but the vinegar just gets overwhelmed. Restraint in all things...

I could really do with going to the chip shop now and having a butty.

When you go to posh(er) restaurants they give you naice bread and then little dishes of balsamic and olive oil to dip it in.

Don't worry. They have their own ways to make one feel nauseated. Like reminding me of the least pleasant parts of A-level French, which was learning about what it was like to live in occupied France. I do wish the younger set would cop on that to some of us, certain comparisons weaken one's argument.
