The best research and advice is not to engage with community disruptors and trolls. As ever, if you suspect troll activity, report it to MNHQ.

If and when you see threads plopped into FWR, especially a curious repeat of well worn topics, maybe check for poster history before engaging. AS is your friend.

There are a number of posts/posters/threads that are reproduced on Twitter or Facebook to foment controversy using screen shots & flagging to either MNHQ to have threads or posters deleted.. Sometimes, it’s used to approach commissioning editors with ideas for articles. It’s a tiresome tactic that we always have community disruptor posters who themselves post the comments that they then highlight elsewhere as purported evidence of racism, religious intolerance, anti-men sentiments, or transphobia.

This thread will be taking a leisurely stroll through the foothills of community disruption, noting the behaviour of wildlife and interesting flora and fauna en route.

Weird food combinations has been a persistent theme. But also an interesting discussion of cherry jaffa cakes.

I am a twitter virgin so ignorant of such tactics, but forewarned is forearmed and all that.

I see footwear makes an appearance here and there also. I am now welly less, since the sodding wasps made a nest in one of them at my allotment, in some weird commentary on kicking the hornets nest. Pretty apt for these hills I suppose.

We're also, well, I'm also keen on wearing appropriate clothing for the outdoors. To this end, I recommend a Hibo t-shirt. They're only available for one more hour!

Belle they've mainly been a source of strength and reminders around how certain incomers attempt to disrupt discussion, goad for deletions and then bans and harvest screen shots for twitter, evidence of the nest of vipers.

I noticed the Menno thread is gone, no idea if my comments within were deleted as I didn't go back to it for ages. Apparently it "started off breaking talk guidelines and didn't get any better". Can anyone enlighten me, is it against the rules to post Mr Menno songs then?

It's a job as a community assistant with MNHQ - it's not the community managing itself, so to speak.

Daybath I am annoyed about the Mr Menno thread. I don't know if posting songs is against guidelines, but there was only one poster being an arse, and they achieved what they wanted as the thread was deleted.

Talking of cherry jaffa cakes, they are on special in Tescos this week, along with passionfruit, and pineapple. A very important Oxford comma there.

Are the cherry ones nice? I have a suspicion of cherry flavoured things which seems to stem from a vile childhood medicine.

Tixylix? Used to love that stuff.... Also loved the flavoured vodka which said it was cherry, but was very medicinal.

One of my younger sisters practically had to be weaned off it, she liked it so much.

I'm baffled why anyone would think Jaffa cakes are improved by being anything other than orange, or After Eights by alternatives to mint.

Cherry and chocolate can be excellent together , but it needs to be something like proper cherries (Black Forest gateau, chocolate with dried cherries etc) not cherry flavour'. They simply don't fit in flat items like Jaffa cakes or after eights.

About the brawling knitters: bipoc has to be Americans, because who are the oppressed indigenes in the UK?
