The useful Bunbury Guide to Spotting Community Disruptors is constantly evolving.

The best research and advice is not to engage with community disruptors and trolls. As ever, if you suspect troll activity, report it to MNHQ.

This is a continuation of the Public Service Announcement thread:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/a4164702-Bunbury-s-Eighth-Sealion-training-for-beginners?msgid=105201850#105201850

If and when you see threads plopped into FWR, especially a curious repeat of well worn topics, maybe check for poster history before engaging. AS is your friend.

There are a number of posts/posters/threads that are reproduced on Twitter or Facebook to foment controversy using screen shots & flagging to either MNHQ to have threads or posters deleted.. Sometimes, it’s used to approach commissioning editors with ideas for articles. It’s a tiresome tactic that we always have community disruptor posters who themselves post the comments that they then highlight elsewhere as purported evidence of racism, religious intolerance, anti-men sentiments, or transphobia.

This thread will be taking a leisurely stroll through the foothills of community disruption, noting the behaviour of wildlife and interesting flora and fauna en route.

Might have just added some to the shopping order despite being on a health kick.

MichelleofzeResistance · 04/03/2021 22:09

Stilton and After Eights. Mmmmmmm.....

(And don't tell anyone but I opened the most amazingly weird sherry which is kind of like a very dark Christmas cake in liquid form.)

DayBath · 04/03/2021 22:09

Not in my Tesco! Or on the app!

I wonder if travel outside my area would be allowed on the basis that these aren't just ordinary Jaffa cakes. They're very special indeed. Hmm, I should pop over to that Covid Police Officer AMA thread and ask them.

Diaryofamadwoman · 04/03/2021 22:09

Pink tinned grapefruit sounds delicious, I normally only venture into M&S for decaff Earl Gray, I'll look out for the tinned fruit. Safe from the kids too

DayBath · 04/03/2021 22:10

Indeed Pothole. It's nice and quiet now, but I feel another storm incoming tomorrow.

MichelleofzeResistance · 04/03/2021 22:11

That's not my Tesco! It doesn't have cherry jaffa cakes.....

DayBath · 04/03/2021 22:11

No I'm sorry, you're all being terribly unreasonable. I can't view tinned fruit as pudding. Get out of here with your dirty healthy lies and leave me to encrust my arteries with butter and sugar in peace.

BaronessWrongCrowd · 04/03/2021 22:12

Oh no! Mind you I bet they don't turn up when the shopping gets delivered.

Gurufloof · 04/03/2021 22:13

CHERRY JAFFA CAKES

My life has only just begun now I know these are a thing. I've never seen them. I've occassionally seen raspberry or strawberry ones.

I love most things cherry, I love cherries, but heck they are expensive and tiny and have bloody great big stones in them.

Anyways, I did a bit out there then the thread got zapped. So I'm back by the fire hankering cherry foodstuffs.
Dont like gin though so just normal after eights will suffice.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/03/2021 22:14

Pink tinned grapefruit would be lovely with some Greek yoghurt and a drizzle of honey for breakfast I imagine!

Ithinktomyself · 04/03/2021 22:14

Lidl do the best brandy soaked chocolate cherries at Christmas. Thoroughly recommended.

I'm really hungry now.

MichelleofzeResistance · 04/03/2021 22:15

With the zapping and the twittering I've wandered gently through the board with a sherry in one hand and the hide button in the other, and vanished most of it. I think cherry chocolate is probably the most sensible way forward.

Pedro Ximinez? I loved that in my drinking days Grin

I’m so tknackered at the moment I’ve exhausted all my anger and all I’ve got left for goaders is a kind of tired pity.

Going to make an orange drizzle cake tomorrow I think. Toothachingly sweet!

ArabellaScott · 04/03/2021 22:19

Cheesy after eights?

You lot are sick, no wonder people are calling for the site to be banned.

Meanwhile - why is there no cherry kirsch in my life?

BaronessWrongCrowd · 04/03/2021 22:22

Hummus and sweet chilli sauce is a surprisingly nice combination, Arabella, or if you want to go really fancy then pomegranate molasses. Grin

Winesalot · 04/03/2021 22:23

Pedro Ximinez

Try it over ice cream....

WoolOfBat · 04/03/2021 22:26

For other cherry lovers, have you tried homemade Bakewell tart? Almonds, cherry and cake, all in one.

PotholeParadies · 04/03/2021 22:27

Honestly, I would've naturally assumed this forum to be about as relevant to wider society as the Sheffield football club forums without all these people getting angry on twitter.

MeltsAway · 04/03/2021 22:27

I have Iceland frozen cherries soaking in vodka in my freezer. I add them to my cava on a Saturday night. Lockdown highs!

Winesalot · 04/03/2021 22:27

Oh and people are beginning to get deleted for not be civil on the main board on completely unrelated topics. It seems glue now comes with a warning on MN these days.

2Rebecca · 04/03/2021 22:28

I've just finished eating one but it was a jam (home made) bakewell tart, no cherries or icing but very tasty

OvaHere · 04/03/2021 22:28

The Nakd Bakewell Tart bars are really yummy and have the side effect of making me feel slightly more virtuous than when I yam Mr Kipling.

By the way, thanks all for the enlightenment on the subject of malt loaf. Looking forward to baking some gluten-free almond poppy seed muffins (no flour proper but tons of other goodies plus eggs fresh from under our good hen's butts Smile) topping them with some sour cherry jam and letting the wave of reactionary twitterpates to leave the room.

Cheers!

Oh and butter. Lots of butter.

BaronessWrongCrowd · 04/03/2021 22:29

Think the last time I had homemade Bakewell was when I made one in HomeEc many many years ago. Quite like the Mr Kipling ones but are a tad too sweet. Might have to make one, You've inspired me, Wool. Grin

Why is it suddenly ok to make multiple threads on the same subject over and over again? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/4183107-Why-is-it-suddenly-ok-to-make-multiple-threads-on-the-same-subject-over-and-over-again
