The best research and advice is not to engage with community disruptors and trolls. As ever, if you suspect troll activity, report it to MNHQ.

If and when you see threads plopped into FWR, especially a curious repeat of well worn topics, maybe check for poster history before engaging. AS is your friend.

There are a number of posts/posters/threads that are reproduced on Twitter or Facebook to foment controversy using screen shots & flagging to either MNHQ to have threads or posters deleted.. Sometimes, it’s used to approach commissioning editors with ideas for articles. It’s a tiresome tactic that we always have community disruptor posters who themselves post the comments that they then highlight elsewhere as purported evidence of racism, religious intolerance, anti-men sentiments, or transphobia.

This thread will be taking a leisurely stroll through the foothills of community disruption, noting the behaviour of wildlife and interesting flora and fauna en route.

I'd like there to be a Goady Threads topic. It would be a topic where it's not possible to start new threads but where threads like those currently infesting FWR would be moved. Whether they would be closed to new posts or left open I'm not fussed about. Just so long as the goadiness can be preserved without impairing the reasonable discussions people on MN try to have.

A quarantine topic if you like.

You know what flavour After Eights they should do? Cherry. It would be like a Blackforest Gateau, but more compact and easier to guzzle down more swiftly. I like my calories to be packed into the smallest area possible to allow for maximum consumption.

Now that I could get on board with. Love cherry flavoured chocolate things. I don't like Jaffa cakes as I do don't like chocolate orange, I was overjoyed when Sainsbury's started stocking a cherry version from Poland. They were seriously good but I haven't seen them for ages.

Strawberry Jaffa cakes are rather tasty but I haven't seen them in stock for a while, superior to the orange version IMO.

Ladies you are brilliant. You bring intelligent respectful debate and you dont rise. Enjoy your hillwalk, you deserve time to relax. I think there's a lot of us silently behind you, not able to get our points across as well as you do, and therefore grateful to you for being the ones that take the flack.

They absolutely are delicious. But unfortunately the boxes are smaller....

Sainsbury's in the UK may have discontinued them. I remember buying up the last ones in our local when they reduced them to clear.

At the time, I assumed it was because they weren't selling locally, owing to the Polish delicatessan down the road that also sold them. (Which is where we originally discovered them.) But perhaps it was a national decision.

Anyway, this is a long way round of telling you to find your nearest Polish deli to get them.

Myum used to make the best cherry pie, with Morton's pie filling. I was gutted to discover that they don't make it any more. My sister tried to recreate the pie, but it wasn't the same... Cherry after eight is something I could get behind.

I'm standing behind PortHills and nodding. Despite my best efforts, I do in fact rise to it sometimes. So I will raise my glass for those of you here who do it with class because you're awesome.

I think LIDL do strawberry jaffa cakes when it's Eastern Europe food week.
