The director of the Gender Identity Clinic has some pretty warped views of women.
Apparently the only women who might object to co-habiting with a violent male criminal are "the sort who enjoy conflict".

Arabella - I'm not on twitter but its possible to read posts and threads unless they are hidden.

But what I have found recently is that if I follow a link from mumsnet it says I can view it. But if I just copy the url into my browser it works fine.

Makes you think that twitter doesn't want mumsnetters watching what they are doing!

Yes, as well as the excellent work being done by Fair Play, we have also been very busy. For those not on Twitter, this is what we have done:

1. Women across Labour and Conservative parties have been writing to Ministers, key MPs and Peers notifying them of the JR this week, highlighting particular vulnerabilities women in prison face, and asking them to support our call that prison policy & practice should reflect the single-sex exceptions in the Equality Act that allow for all males, regardless of GRC or protected characteristic gender reassignment, to be excluded from single-sex spaces for women.

1. We have focussed on the media, speaking to both print and broadcast media to ensure the JR and the issues it raises are given the publicity & attention they deserve. As well as focussing on the right to single sex spaces, we have discussed the particular injustice of housing males convicted of violent sexual offences against women in the female prison estate. The needs of women have consistently & callously been ignored throughout the development of the policy permitted at least some males to be housed in the female estate.

1. We have produced an open letter signed by legal professionals, academics and those working in the prison service calling for the Ministry of Justice, HM Prisons & Probation Service and the Scottish Prisons Service to bring policy & practice in line with the Equality Act.

1. We have launched our website, which include a section on what you can do. Please read this. Challenge the media whenever you can. Write to your MP. Make sure this issue stays in the public eye.

1. I did an interview with Glinner, which will go up on his channel.

1. We will be attending court on both days to liaise with media. We will live tweet where we can and follow up with a report of the day's proceedings each evening.

I'll use my own words as Jackie Doyle MP advised that she only read individual letters and not mass campaign ones. The template letter is very useful. I'll also ask

1. why were only trans groups consulted on the trans inclusion guidelines when it affects women? Surely all policy and law public consultations should consult with all groups in a democratic society. - especially the nine other groups of protected characteristics under the EA, including SEX.

2. Did the MoJ pay for these consultations? how much?

3)Why are the MoJ and government consulting with Gendered Intelligence, an extremist organisation?

Hopefully I'll get a reply, if not it may have been filtered out like emails to Rosie Duffield were binned by her TRA staff.

Such an important question FindTheTruth Why is it that only trans groups are ever consulted about women's rights, spaces, sport? This is why they are being removed with unprecedented speed and the most vulnerable women are harmed.

Nothing about us without us.
