This is a harrowing read.
I feel immensely sorry for the child that was. However I feel more frightened for the women and children G might be incarcerated with.

Not sure if it is on any other threads re this but apparently this person is out on bail.

gardenbird48 · 03/10/2020 18:19

If anyone has any Irish friends here they might want to warn them. This person appeared to be surrounded by ‘fans’ which were fascinated by this is persons fame.
I honestly don’t know what they are thinking - god knows what poor care worker who was seriously injured is thinking!!

swingsandroundabouts1 · 03/10/2020 18:42

Is this true? I don't see it reported anywhere.

I’ve just a video on twitter (can’t work out how to link on my phone) - if you type the name in it will come up on a number of accounts. There is some girly excitement as the people approach this person and apparently someone mentions ‘ready to murder’. It has not been verified by anyone official but looks like it could be genuine.
swingsandroundabouts1 · 03/10/2020 19:06

OK thanks. I am not on twitter but I really hope that it's a hoax.

MadamBatty · 03/10/2020 19:08

What’s girly excitement?

gardenbird48 · 03/10/2020 19:31

Excited sounding girls voices. This person seems to have been spotted on the street and filmed by someone who has then posted it on sm. Given the timeline of what we know about the situation and the comment apparently made in the video about ‘ready to murder’ it would seem to back up the possibility that this person has now been released.
I don’t think this person was very publicly known beforehand and so it is unlikely that this video was made before today and they are out on the street. I will look and see if j can find any more info. I’m not imagining there will be a public announcement from councillor Elise.

MadamBatty · 03/10/2020 19:44

Maybe Barbie is gone to stay with councillor Elise?

swingsandroundabouts1 · 03/10/2020 19:54

@MadamBatty

Maybe Barbie is gone to stay with councillor Elise?
🤣🤣🤣 Well she was very upset about Barbie being dead named. I am sure she will join up with Limerick's feminist collective to help her out.
MadamBatty · 03/10/2020 19:58

Having a sleepover...jolly japes with pillow fights, lots of girly excitement.

peanut2017 · 03/10/2020 20:01

My sister sent this - not sure if it's true but mother of god if it is - what the fuck. And young girls fawning over him

peanut2017 · 03/10/2020 20:04

Also on that Noelene one from the rape crisis centre - she is not a advocate for women. I've heard personal horrendous stories about her treatment of staff.

She is one of these people who pretend she cares about others and she really doesn't - something about people like that you then work for companies where they are meant to care about people but they really don't - there is a name for it can't think of it 🙈

MadamBatty · 03/10/2020 20:09

Cow bag? Wagon? Selfish biatch?

MadamBatty · 03/10/2020 20:12

I’ve come across many people who work for charities who want to show the world what a truly caring person rather are.

peanut2017 · 03/10/2020 20:16

Yeah that's probably it

I worked for a well known charity before and some of the people who worked there were horrible people. It was for people with disabilities and they no more cared about people with disabilities than the man on the moon

Can attract an evil type of person

PearPickingPorky · 03/10/2020 21:21

If Barbie is out and getting female attention then I am really worried that some poor girl is going to end up getting really badly hurt.

Ringsender2 · 03/10/2020 21:50

Holy fuckballs

7Days · 04/10/2020 09:23

Barbie is out??

swingsandroundabouts1 · 04/10/2020 10:54

There is nothing online about it. Tbh if the transwoman in that video is not Barbie, there is a risk to her too. You will always get idiots who will take the law into their own hands. Which in turn plays into the hands of those that label anyone with GC views as bigots, and that trans women are so persecuted.

Malahaha · 04/10/2020 14:50

Has this video been posted yet? It is actually very critical of the Barbie case. It should shock the general public enough to get them investigating.

Malahaha · 04/10/2020 14:58

Sorry, I didn't realise that that video was on Facebook.
Here's the same video on the Gript website. The presenter it obviously horrified: "What a shock. Who could have seen this coming? God forbid if any women in that prison are attacked or worse, we all know that the inept virtue-signalling politicians who implemented this law are to blame."

Malahaha · 04/10/2020 14:59

ooops, forgot the link: gript.ie/homicidal-biological-male-who-has-threatened-to-rape-and-kill-women-has-been-placed-into-a-female-prison/

(apologies if it has been posted before)

Cailleach1 · 05/10/2020 09:10

Ok, so it seems, under Irish law, the crime of rape can only be carried out by a man (Unless some legislation has since amended this). This still stands applies to a man who declares under ID he is a woman.

Section 22: Gender-specific offences
A number of sexual offences in this jurisdiction are gender specific. For example, the common law offence of rape can only be committed by a man. The offence is committed by a man against a woman who does not consent to it. Other offences can only be committed against or in relation to a person of a particular gender.

I got a reply from Jennifer Carroll MacNiece. Better than I expected tbh.

"Thank you very much for taking the time to get in touch with me.

In relation to the Gender Recognition Act 2015, I note your concerns that you have outlined below and appreciate you taking the time to flag them with me.

In regards to the wording of the language on the HSE’s publications relating to cervical screening, I do understand the issue at hand here. I understand your concern for those who might not recognise or instantly relate to the term ‘people with a cervix’, and the impact this may have on their health. I will raise this with my colleagues and discuss it with them."

So will raise the impact if deleting the word woman but head in the sand re the GRA. Is this a correct interpretation?
