The awful trend on Twitter

Hi, I don't post often, but I've seen the awful twitter trend today in regard to J K Rowling, I just feel so scared and defeated about women's rights, why are more people not up in arms and defending us? I also fear for her and women's safety, as some of these TRA's seem really unhinged.

I honestly don't understand how anyone can justify their vitriol. They are disgusting human beings and fucking stupid on top if they think anyone with any sense will see them as anything else.

It's Twitter - Twitter is the new Tumblr - it really doesn't count as reasonable discourse - it's just drunk teenagers.

JKR's Strike books are FANTASTIC. I'm a massive whodunnit addict and these are some of my absolute favourites. They stay with you. I can't wait for this one to land in my Audible app on its own account, but knowing that I'm pissing off a bunch of misogynistic Twitter dicks is the apple in my anticipatory pie.

While they are probably banging one out at the thought of trying to frighten JK, it’s not as if they’ll get within shouting distance of her. On the plus side, I had no idea about her new book and look forward to ordering it. They’ve now ensured that she will gain so many more new fans. They’re so good at scoring goals.........home goals, that is. 😁

Also the book hasn’t come out yet. The silkworm had a trans MtF character who was left unhinged by cruel treatment from a male character who was cruel and abusive to her. Strike is annoyed with her because she tries to attack him but Robin is very sympathetic.

No one has any idea how JK is writing this character yet and what other characters she is writing about in relation to them.

Effing Twitter and their hysterics.

Silkworm also has a female unhinged character (Strikes ex) and several unhinged publishing people both Male and Female. Or do all trans characters have to be saints? That would be very boring for any trans actor or actress to play. It’s much more fun playing complex characters than perfect saints.

I've preordered too. I really hope it ends up in the bestseller list

I'd agree that men in general can't be trusted. I can count the men I would trust with my life on one hand!

I'll be buying the Strike books when I get paid and find cheap copies (I'd love to show support and buy them full price but I have to eat). They've been on my "to buy at some point" list for ages. Now they are at the top!
