My synopsis of the article

• Vikings were raiders, who were driven to such behavior due to a lack of women.
• China and India may be facing a similar problem due to sex selective births leading to an excess of men.
• The west is also facing a similar problem due to women unwilling to marry down in an ever equal society. This leaves a sub group of men who aren't getting any.
• Incels make enthusiastic terrorists (ISIS recruits being promised wives / slaves).
• Preventing this is a feminist issue

It's a weird article. Sex ratio imbalances are a problem. But that would be better fixed by trying to raise the cultural value of girl children. I think feminists are already working on this.

Men not getting sex is really a problem men need to address. I think the earning thing is a red herring. More of a problem I think is a masculine culture where men feel entitled to sex without any thought as to what makes women desire sex with them. Not helped by popular culture's depictions of women and sex.

Men thinking that they are ENTITLED to sex is a real issue. All fuelled by a hideous porn culture that portrays women as objects. These porn-addled boys/men have no idea how to be in a healthy relationship.

It’s well observed that an excess of young single men gives rise to political instability and violence. The only way you could frame this as a feminist issue is by arguing that this is a symptom of patriarchy and wouldn’t occur in a matriarchy/equal society but there is no evidence to that effect. An excess of single men is a problem. Sex selective abortions should criminalised. Schools, parents, media etc have a responsibility to deconstruct toxic masculinity by providing positive examples of happily single celibate men. Toxic masculinity also has a role to play in the low rates of women marrying down (many men have unrealistic expectations of being able to single handedly support a family).

Ah, he's basing his knowledge of Vikings on two sources, one written a thousand years ago and one in Tudor times. Right. We've learned a bit about them since then.

On the plus side, nice to see that at least incels believe humans are a "sexually dimorphic species". Well of course they do, they have to know which sex to subordinate. If all women aren't below all men, they might be the bottom of the heap and that would never do.

If certain cultures stopped killing girls at birth or using sex selective abortion maybe that would be a start!

And once again, poor male behaviour is a female problem. FFS, if inadequate men who (despite making no effort) don’t get issued with their promised second class citizen to shag at will and also do the cooking and cleaning, they will turn berserker mad bastards and when they do it is women’s fault is a bit of a fucking leap.

I guess the article points to the fact that this is a historical reality (of entitlement / drive or whatever people choose to call it). The Vikings, The Romans (with the Sabine women); none of these were porn addled.

If anything porn may act as a release value in the modern era, sad as that may be.

Written by a woman, and the top comment is from a bloke suggesting that governments could easily just assign men a female sex partner, ie enforced sexual slavery.

We don't care about how sad and lonely your penises are, dudes. If you consistently find that you are unable to find or maintain a relationship then the common denominator in all those situations is you, and thus it is you who needs to change. True - although the average UK wage for full-time workers is 35k - but of course that covers people working for 40 years - by which time they'd definitely be on the shelf. With a minimum wage of 18k they're just going to have to do what all the women with lower, or no income did, and work on their personality and talent then.

It's definitely not a release. These men see it as advertising, and they want their action man figurine with shooting gun woman to abuse as they've been promised.

Well if I look at my sexual history it was the men who were selfish in bed who also didn't have lasting sexual relationships. Too many men think that the sex is over when they come. Maybe they should start being a better shag.

Maybe we should start pushing this angle in schools. Do well on your GCSEs, lads, get to uni and get a good job, or you won't get a shag.

I wonder why, as a society, we are not raising more decent, competent men who then would have no trouble attracting a partner. I’ve thought a little more about this and concluded that it’s a tedious rehash of an old view. If you don’t have sex with us, we could kill you. And if we do it will be because you asked for it.
