A supporter:
Ian Dunt - political commentator and co-presenter of the Remainiacs podcast. One of the presenters mentioned transphobia in the same sentence as racism a few weeks ago and I thought 'great, not you lot too'.

He has 300,000 followers. He got piled on and I thought he might delete it but he hasn't.

I've read the pink news article, please don't anyone else click on it, the are doing this for clicks.
I saw on Glinners twitter earlier they have done 40 articles about JK in the last few days.

"I firmly stand with the trans community and echo the sentiments expressed by many of my peers,” he said.
Trans women are women. Trans men are men. We should all be entitled to live with love and without judgement.”

That's it, the rest is about Radcliffe.

I wouldn't mind if they disagreed - if they could just say threatening and insulting language is not acceptable

Maybe they are hoping that it will all die down and they don't want to fan the flames? I think if people start organising book burnings (literal or metaphoric) we will hear more.

Wah, you've got to look at the fucking Aiden Comerford trying to harass Alison Moyet. What an arsehole.

I can't link it but its under his naughty list, I think.

The guy is fucking deranged.

I really admire Ian Dunt for that. He condemned the abuse in its own right, early on, rather than because it was useful in a vendetta against The Sun.
Good on him.

I reckon many support her but are too afraid to say if.

I have always liked JK but like her more now. She is brave and principled.

It’s all over my FB and I can’t be arsed having fights with people. Which makes me a coward I guess.

Most people I have spoken to about it - friends - are in support of JK. This doesn’t mean any of us are anti-trans. But it does mean we need to stop being ridiculous in terms of the conversation/shutting down of debate.

I don’t know how royalties work, but will any of the HP actors receive money if their image is taken off merchandise and tv?

Helmet

Yes his list of transphobes.

"I have absolutely no problem taking you off this list if you can say that Magdalen Berns was a transphobe, and it is wrong of anyone to call a person who spewed this sort of hatred "brave."

Is he now the spokesman for Trans people in Ireland and self appointed organiser of pride?

so could you guys write to your mp and ask them to vote for Amendment 84 so that misogyny would be recognised as a hate crime please? Then these abusers can be prosecuted, if they continue to address our lovely J.K in such a way.

I‘m dismayed about Glenn Greenwald. He has supported Navratilova in the past, when she questioned the fairness transwomen in women‘a sports.
But now it‘s just ‚Rowling playing victim‘ and ‚I wonder why Britain is to exceptionally transphobic in its discourse....‘ Very disappointing.

(I happen to be very critical of much of Rowling‘s politics and admire GG‘s critical analyses. But in this instance GG is plainly irrational.)

I know Twitter is often toxic but it seems particularly bad right now. I wonder if we're seeing the mental health consequences of
over two months in lockdown. People not going to work, not seeing colleagues, friends, family, stuck inside. They become completely overinvested in Twitter and the shit show of the last week is the result. It would have been horrendous anyway, I'm sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if this exacerbated it.

I've got a real thing about Aidan Comerford. You know when people say someone makes their skin crawl - its that. He just gives me the heebie jeebies something chronic.

Agreed. Comerford by himself is reason enough to keep sex segregated spaces.

Isn’t it the case that many journalists are also young? I may be wrong, but as I understand it it it is a very competitive but low paid field for most. I know that doesn’t make them incapable of critical thought, but it may explain that their starting point is likely to be acceptance of the TRA narrative because at first sight it sits well with the welcome accepting and inclusive nature of current youth culture. It must be a very long climb to get to the point of viewing the gender critical position as actually the more inclusive and accepting one.

AC is so unbelievably angry and over invested in this for someone who doesn't have skin in the game....I wonder what he likes to wear to relax of an evening...

According to Posie Parker's latest live stream Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) has just liked something supportive of Jo and then promptly disappeared (can't blame him for that part) 50 points to Slytherin if that is the case.

I’m certainly worried about the kind of behaviour he demonstrates. Alison Moyet clearly expressed her view that she doesn’t want to be in anyone’s tribe, but he just wouldn’t let it go.
