Young women don't know what a woman is

This is absolutely staggering.

The latest poll commissioned by Wings over Scotland on the subject of self-ID, finds that all demographics in their majority believe a woman is an adult human female.

Except young women.

"The 16-34 female demographic actually voted by a narrow six-point majority that a person’s sex has absolutely nothing to do with biology. Even the next-closest group (young men) was a staggering FORTY points adrift from that view (net -34), and middle-aged women were close behind them at a net -36. Among women over 55 the margin against self-ID was a crushing 62 points (over 4:1 against), with older men at a breathtaking 10:1."

California that's disgraceful, what are our schools doing to our children? My DS is now at uni but when he was that age he was just really starting to understand the differences between boys and girls. If he was told sex is interchangeable it would have really messed with his head as I'm sure it does to your son so it makes me wonder why schools are doing this.

I was a bit worried that he would be overdosing on the KoolAid at uni but to put it delicately as a testosterone fueled young man he certainly knows the difference between men and women and that makes me wonder how genuine the people who say TWAW etc are.

Indeed

Teachers may of course hold many personal beliefs but are required to work within professional standards having responsibility for the pupils in their care.

The school seemed to insinuate that if you feel like the opposite sex then change your body with surgery, you are the opposite sex. Or maybe that is just how a 10 year-old rationalised the madness in his head.

For the ones pushing this who're well meaning and a bit dim rather than actively trying to mislead it's always struck me that they don't seem to have interacted with a child since they were one themselves, as they don't seem to be aware that if you feed kids confusing nonsense they'll try to make sense of it as best they can, resulting in some very odd interpretations.

The 15 year olds at my school told me a girl would be a boy "after she had the op".

The 16 year olds told me it was illegal to misgender someone.

We had several girls who thought they were boys. And an after school LGBT+ group which reinforced this.

I did question this.

testing987654321 · 09/05/2020 09:33

I no longer work there, for other reasons, but it's scary that most teachers just go along with it. A lot are in their 20s and fully onboard with people changing sex. It was older women who were worried about these girls.

PositiveVibez · 09/05/2020 09:36

It’s fucking 2020 and we are in the middle of a global pandemic and have lost many people

Yes. In the main, it's been men. I think at a rate of 2 X the amount of women. Do you think it would help data and research if some of the men were transwomen and their deaths were recorded as women who had died, or do you think biology matters here and it is extremely important to find out why more men than women are dying of (or with), this virus?

R0wantrees · 09/05/2020 09:50

For many decades gender doctors have promoted an operation they call 'sex change'
Many adult men assert they are no longer men due to surgery and/or medication and/or changing their name/presentation.

CaliforniaMountainSnake · 09/05/2020 09:53

Once I corrected him he looked so confused. Like what I said made more sense but why would the school lie.

Young children don't really understand abstracts, I guess that's why they believe in magic and stuff. They only understand black and white stuff. Boy, girl. So it really crule and a real mind fuck to tell little kids that people can change sex.

A ten year old doesn't need to know about trans people. My sex Ed at that age was boys and girls seperate. Girls learnt about periods, that we carry babies, bood and pubs. I imagine the boys were taught about wet dreams or somthing.

CaliforniaMountainSnake · 09/05/2020 09:59

Sorry for all the typos, posted without proof reading due to screaming baby.

We obvs learnt about boobs and pubes

Not boods and pubs - which would be very weird.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 09/05/2020 09:59

Given that "the op" transmen are most likely to have is a mastectomy the idea that having it makes you a "boy" is particularly horrifying when you consider how many cancer patients that involuntarily transes.

Lordfrontpaw · 09/05/2020 10:01

If it’s all about ‘how you feel’ then cosmetic surgery would definitely be unnecessary.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 09/05/2020 10:03

Won't comment on "bood" but the idea of a lesson about pubs for children in California is quite charming. "In the good old UK that we quite like now that the whole tea in the harbour thing is long in the past there's this marvelous place where you can sit around for hours drinking beer that actually has flavor and playing darts."

R0wantrees · 09/05/2020 10:04

This is the very serious failure to take seriously the responsibiity for the trust that children and young people put in their teachers, youth workers, doctors, social workers & parents.

The responsibility is for children's Safeguarding.
All adults are responsible for Safeguarding children & Vulnerable Adults.

Telling children that they could be born in the wrong body & that an operation will make them change sex is a breach of Safeguarding.

No child is born in the wrong body.

popehilarious · 09/05/2020 10:05

If children are being taught that you need surgery to change sex, that's also transphobic (and dangerous imo)

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 09/05/2020 10:05

"Also sometimes there are dogs and there are these things called crisps. They're like chips, but with many onion flavors on offer."

Lordfrontpaw · 09/05/2020 10:10

There was an experiment I remember learning about when I studied psychology.

You put a cat mask on a dog - then asked a small child if it was a cat or a dog. If you shaved a raccoon and dyed its fur to look like a skunk - is it a raccoon or a skunk.

At 3 years old kids got muddled. By 4 most knew the dog was always a dog and the raccoon a raccoon.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 09/05/2020 10:13

I don't remember this but I apparently once said "you're not my mummy!" in response to my mum getting a drastic haircut when I was a small child. The idea that children are tiny sages who know more than adults and whose every pronouncement should be taken at face value is a bit silly.

OldCrone · 09/05/2020 10:17

Children do need puberty blockers, hormones and surgery (as soon as they're old enough). It's only middle-aged men who can say 'I'm a woman' and that instantly changes their sex and makes their penis female.

The important thing is that gender-confused children are mutilated and sterilised and middle-aged men with a fetish are validated.

DickKerrLadies · 09/05/2020 10:20

I apparently did something very similar. It was the 80s though Smile

Reginabambina · 09/05/2020 10:23

I doubt that survey was well constructed. I’m a young woman as are many if my friends. We all know what sex is. Some accept transgenderism, some are gender free/critical, all of just see gender as aseparate issue to sex. Mind you most of us are well educated professionals. Perhaps women who haven’t had the privileges we have had don’t feel as comfortable forming and asserting their own views.

CaliforniaMountainSnake · 09/05/2020 10:24

No child is born in the wrong body.

A horrible statement in itself. It starts from a position that there is somthing wrong with the child that needs to be fixed.

I don't see how any physiologist could agree its right to tell a child their healthy body is wrong and needs to be fixed.

I fear we are quick to medicate and validate children because it's easier than unravelling the complex reasons why a child would feel they are the opposite sex, or hate their sexual characteristics, or strongly feel they need to live as the opposite sex.

Much like its eaiser to give someone with anxiety or depression drugs than it is to provide extensive counselling.

Some people may need drugs and surgery. But it should be only as a last resort once they are at least 25 - which is when the brain has fully matured and we are able to fully understand the consequences of our actions.

nauticant · 09/05/2020 10:43

Mind you most of us are well educated professionals. Perhaps women who haven’t had the privileges we have had don’t feel as comfortable forming and asserting their own views.

Being a professional and well educated definitely doesn't innoculate people against going along with the gender identity ideology. (It often appears that the reverse might be the case.) I'd say this applies particularly to young women.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 09/05/2020 10:45

Indeed, gender identity is very much not a working class movement.

Floisme · 09/05/2020 10:49

In my experience, well educated professionals seem the most delusional of all, although I suspect in many cases, it's fear talking.
