Young women don't know what a woman is

BlackForestCake · 08/05/2020 14:23

This is absolutely staggering.

The latest poll commissioned by Wings over Scotland on the subject of self-ID, finds that all demographics in their majority believe a woman is an adult human female.

Except young women.

"The 16-34 female demographic actually voted by a narrow six-point majority that a person’s sex has absolutely nothing to do with biology. Even the next-closest group (young men) was a staggering FORTY points adrift from that view (net -34), and middle-aged women were close behind them at a net -36. Among women over 55 the margin against self-ID was a crushing 62 points (over 4:1 against), with older men at a breathtaking 10:1."

Why were people asking you personal questions Hooves? Oh yes, it's because you introduced it as part of your merail.

If I used my disability as a tool to shut down a debate it would be a bit shit to then complain about people responding to that whilst simultaneously complaining that debate isnt allowed Hmm

isabellerossignol · 10/05/2020 22:15

Only women who agree with you are allowed an opinion.

Well, that hasn't been my experience. Am I lying then?

OldCrone · 10/05/2020 22:16

Nor have I asked a poster repeatedly to divulge personal information to then use it to throw back in their face.

If that is directed at me, just let me remind you of what I said:

Can you explain in general terms why they didn't want to treat your condition? I realise this is a very personal issue (but you're the one who has been keen to put your own experience in the spotlight), so obviously I'm not asking for specifics, but more generally. For example, did the treatment have a low success rate, or did it mean you would experience a lot of pain afterwards? Or was it just very expensive?

I only asked for this once, and I would have fully understood if you had declined because of the personal nature of the information. You chose to give far more detail than I asked for or expected and afterwards I thanked you for your reply.

I'm not going to respond directly to you again since you keep insisting on misrepresenting what I have said.

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 10/05/2020 22:16

Pertella

So, you're argument is that I was talking about myself too much and in protest at that the answer was to ask me several questions about myself and my medical condition, including why certain decisions were made?

Oh, of course, yep uh huh. That all makes perfect sense.

Don't ask questions and then complain when they get answered

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 10/05/2020 22:17

And certainly don't ask personal questions and then accuse the person of talking about themselves when they answer

Pertella · 10/05/2020 22:18

No, my argument is what I actually posted, not what comes out of the other end of your word translation filter.

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 10/05/2020 22:19

I only asked for this once, and I would have fully understood if you had declined because of the personal nature of the information. You chose to give far more detail than I asked for or expected and afterwards I thanked you for your reply.

Two separate posts you asked me questions in and in that one quote there there are several questions. How dare you ask for that information just to use it to attack me.

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 10/05/2020 22:20

and afterwards I thanked you for your reply.

Oh how magnanimous of you. And then looked for the next opportunity to stick the boot in.

Pertella · 10/05/2020 22:21

Fucking hell, it's happening again isnt it 🤦‍♀️

nauticant · 10/05/2020 22:29

Yes. Watching this happen again is hypnotising in a strange kind of way.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 10/05/2020 22:32

There are a few people on this board who have a rather Inigo Montoya like quality to them.

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 10/05/2020 22:37

So let me just clarify - you don't want me to post and yet you continue to post having a pop at me? But if I respond then I'm in the wrong?
Yes, that sounds like completely non bullying behaviour.

isabellerossignol · 10/05/2020 22:39

No one said they didn't want you to post. That's completely twisting things. Again. It's not about whether or not anyone posts, it's about derailing the discussion.

WrathofFaeKIopp · 10/05/2020 22:43

Inigo Montoya
Oh yes.

littlbrowndog · 10/05/2020 22:49

Jeez hooves. Always same with you. So,tiresome. Nothing fresh to say nothing I think yeah but but you might have a point.

Just nothing nothing that’s its

0DETTE · 10/05/2020 23:48

What about me me me me me ?

Why aren’t we talking about me me me ?

Ok so now we are talking about me, that’s better .

How dare you talk about me, I’m mortally offended.

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 10/05/2020 23:50

No, please do carry on. Just proving the point about bullying

0DETTE · 10/05/2020 23:54

Yes anyone who disagrees with me me me is an evil bully.

Are we still taking about me, just so I know when to be offended?

Is this the point in the discussion when I say echo chamber ?

Datun · 11/05/2020 00:07

Hooves, do you have an opinion about the opening post? Because it would be really useful to hear it and we can all get back on track.

OccasionalKite · 11/05/2020 00:18

The Original Post, OP, is interesting.

Asked the question:
"Which of these is closest to what you personally believe the word "woman" to mean?"

Two choices:

"An adult human female, with XX chromosomes and female genitalia"

or

"Anyone who says they're a woman, regardless of their biology."

To this question, a majority (53%) of women aged 16-34 agreed,
"Anyone who says they're a woman, regardless of their biology."

However, when the question is asked:
"So you think someone who identifies as a woman, but was born male, and still has male genitalia, should be allowed to use female changing rooms where women and girls are undressing/showering, even if those women object?"

Two choices:

"They should be allowed"

"They should not be allowed"

62% of the same demographic agreed that "They should not be allowed."

I find that interesting!

bd67thSaysReinstateLangCleg · 11/05/2020 02:15

"Give me the boy until he's seven and I'll give you the man."

Stonewall, Gendered Intelligence, Mermaids et al have all been ever so keen to get into schools and peddle their anti-scientific nonsense. These young women's doublethink is the result. Interesting that, when the real-world implication of TWAW is spelled out as meaning penises and their owners in the women's showers, self-preservation kicks in and overrides the indoctrination.

It's almost as if women's fear of rape isn't so easily erased.

SetYourselfOnFire · 11/05/2020 03:18

They've been brainwashed by social media. Most of them will grow out of it.

attackedbycritters · 11/05/2020 07:53

I would, love to know what collective noun they would use to describe the set of people with no penis who should be in the female changing rooms
