How is this anything other than a men's rights movement?

Disgusting @Michelleoftheresistance.. makes you wonder why they cosplay as us then, doesn’t it?

WeetabixBananaHipsterFFS · 03/04/2020 17:16

Fae is such a fucking bellend.

LadyQuarantinaPluckington · 03/04/2020 17:28

In tribute to Areema Nasreen, the woman in that BBC article Gingernaut posted.

"She was very bubbly, full of life. She was a fantastic role model to Asian women, she married young and had children but then wanted to pursue her dream in nursing, became a nurse and absolutely loved her job, she was completely dedicated to it, she'd go out of her way to help people."

I don't know about any of you, but I know who I would rather give my attention and headspace to - role model woman Areema who just died because of helping others, or a grubby creep who hates women like Areema?

DuLANGDuLANGDuLANG · 03/04/2020 17:31

Areema and Aimee Flowers

Two absolute sheroes. Thank you for your love, your care, and your unthinkable sacrifice.

Reginabambina · 03/04/2020 17:32

Oh ffs. Medicine is female dominated in most places surely? I’ve also never met anyone (Male or female) that conceals their age.

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 03/04/2020 17:41

Oh Gingernaut that is so sad. RIP Areema Nasreen and Aimee O'Rourke.
Our HCPs and Social Care staff and other frontline staff are going to bare the brunt of this and many of them will be women.
All Fae does when they spew this kind of vitriol is show us who they really are.

Sexnotgender · 03/04/2020 18:07

I saw that the two nurses had died, absolutely heartbreaking. I believe they both had 3 children? Just awful. RIP brave selfless women.

Sexnotgender · 03/04/2020 18:12

I used to work with a weird guy that wouldn’t tell anyone his real age. Used to claim to be in his 30s, he had a really hard paper round of that was true!

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 03/04/2020 18:16

Flowers Thank you, Aimee and Areema.

MsTSwift · 03/04/2020 18:28

Hear hear.
In my 46 years I have never met anyone that conceals their age. Why bother?!

Strangerthantruth · 03/04/2020 18:34

Fae made a point in a TV discussion with that Dutch guy who wanted to legally identify as 20 years younger that Fae lied about their own age on dating sites. Gag.

LOLeater · 03/04/2020 18:38

Women are in the frontline.
End of.
This person is very stupid and offensive.

Gingernaut · 03/04/2020 18:46

Women are all I see on the buses and trains early on.

Mainly cleaners, there are nurses, HCAs and people like me - NHS support staff; not 'frontline', but necessary.

Indeed, with a little coy flirtatious smile. Enjoy the mental image! Grin Also, isn't Fae married? Nice.

Lordfrontpaw · 03/04/2020 19:36

Someone is also forgetting the AIDS early days. Who was tending to those with this - medical staff (so nurses, mostly women), mums, sisters, friends, sometimes strangers. A lot of women. How dare they. How can they claim to be what they say they are?

Blibbyblobby · 03/04/2020 19:44

Not relevant particularly to Fae, but I’m really surprised there’s such surprise over men being statistically more likely than women to die of the virus.

I’m sure when I was a kids in the 70s and 80s it commonly accepted that women are biologically tougher than men and that’s why we live longer. I thought it was a well known fact.

I actually remember being told it was an adaptation from millennia of only getting fed after the men had nabbed the best stuff, but with hindsight that bit might not have been entirely scientifically proven Grin

DaydreamingDay · 03/04/2020 20:21

I fear this man has handed himself over to evil. It now consumes him. I just pray that no woman or girl is ever in his close vicinity.

Joliany · 03/04/2020 20:30

I don't suppose Jane is out there on helping the front line care workers though. The majority of people doing those jobs are women.

boatyardblues · 03/04/2020 20:34

Sure, because hardly any nurses, care workers or supermarket staff are women, right?

Quite, but also the medical profession is increasingly female. If I recall >50% of medical school intakes are female.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 03/04/2020 22:35

Wow, they really are monumentally stupid

Yes they are

WhatKatyDidNot · 03/04/2020 23:07

Fae might like to take note.

This thread will probably get zapped. I'll avail of this opportunity then to note that I find Fae to be a profoundly sinister individual. Anybody who is not entirely blinkered can see what Fae is about, what motivates Faeself. Certain defining characteristics of Fae are such as to inspire deep unease.

Datun · 03/04/2020 23:52

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about that. Trilling, archly 'who doesn't?'
