Pornhub examples

Help, I'm looking for examples of awful videos on Pornhub, as I'm trying to get something off the ground to raise awareness of how dodgy they are.

I had an OBJECT leaflet which had a list on the back but I foolishly threw it out and can't find something similar on their website.

I also seem to remember seeing a lot of screen grabs that were horrendous, but my searching isn't throwing them up.

Does anyone know where I could find some examples or if there is a campaigner who has these stored online? I'm specifically looking for examples that are of potentially illegal or trafficked women and girls, plus that awful one of a young woman being shackled. God I can't believe I wrote that sentence.

I wish I had saved the OBJECT leaflet or screen grabs - kicking myself now.

Thanks if anyone can point me in the right direction.

If you do link to any illegal images, you are guilty of 'making an image' and would be liable to the full confiscation of all your computers, discs, CDs, DVDs, Cameras etc for upwards of year while they plough through the backlog.

ClitoriaTernatea · 28/02/2020 15:28

click off.org is an anti porn organisation, might be worth a look.

AudHvamm · 28/02/2020 16:05

Lots of quotes from ex porn stars and links to research in this tumblr anti-porn master list. Maybe some of these could be of use to you?

Dr Em wrote a rather chilling analysis of the way PH shows a lot of violence and degradation of women compared to male gay porn which is more loving.

BumFunIsntForEveryone · 28/02/2020 20:46

I watched a documentary not long ago ( I think it was on BBC) which talked to many porn stars and women wanting to enter the porn industry.

One thing that struck me was how often these women said 'Oh, I would do anal on camera but don't do it in my personal life'.

Not sure it answers your question OP but anal seems to have become so prevelant in porn as 'normal' yet it's not something even pornstars actually like or want to do away from the camera.

And yes, I realise some women enjoy anal pleasure before anyone accuses me of being anti-anal.

Tootsweets23 · 28/02/2020 21:15

Thank you all! Ah @NeurotrashWarrior maybe it was DrcEm's work I'm thinking of. Much appreciated.

I hope it's helpful; I'm not sure if fits what you described in the op but it's certainly eye opening.

Tried a brief google, Do Not Do That.

@DrEM? Hope you don't mind the tag.

I tried looking on mn and found her breast ironing article which was for Object so it could well be.

Check out Laila Mickelwait on twitter, she started petition to shut down Pornhub, which now has over 320.000 signatures.

Are you anti porn completely ? Or in situations of abuse? If you are completely anti porn, then why? Women enjoy porn too!!!!!

NeurotrashWarrior · 29/02/2020 08:49
Hmm
gafferareyouthere · 29/02/2020 08:52

Agree with a pp I enjoy watching porn. Not all women in porn are trafficked or forced into it.

IAmFleshIAmBone · 29/02/2020 08:55

How do you differentiate between the ones who enjoy doing it and the ones who are trafficked into it? 🤔

Doyoumind · 29/02/2020 08:58

I've seen what's on pornhub. It's not nice. Yes, some women do enjoy porn but the majority of stuff that is on there is pretty disgusting towards women and has only been designed with men in mind. It's the kind of stuff I couldn't even sit through, never mind expect to be turned on by.

DonnaQuixote · 29/02/2020 09:05

@Strongmummy

I am authentic feminist so of course I am anti-porn.

People enjoy using drugs, that does not mean drugs are harmless or good for them. So what excatly is your point?

definitelygc · 29/02/2020 09:06

@strongmummy I didn't used to be anti-porn but it was actually my male partner who convinced me that it is a social ill, regardless of the way it is produced. The vast majority of porn depicts degradation or abuse towards women. The reason is because people start off watching the softer stuff and gradually move on to more and more hardcore material. The affect on our brains is exactly the same as with a drug, we need a stronger and stronger dose to get a fix. For a growing number of people the end point becomes the ultimate taboo - child pornography.

We can debate all day about this but the science is clear. MRI scans can identify lasting effects on the brain from watching porn and it bears out in our experience of sex. In 1992, 7% of men under 30 experienced erectile dysfunction.Several recent studies now show that 30% of young men experience it. Porn watching is also shown to reduce empathy and increase levels of aggression. Quoting from fightthenewdrug.com "A meta-analysis of 33 studies found that exposure to either nonviolent or violent porn increased behavioral aggression, including both violent fantasies and actual violent assaults".

What many people are now arguing is that there is no such thing as "ethical porn". Porn should essentially be treated as a highly addictive drug that can have serious implications for your sex life and relationships.

SunkissesBringBackLangCleg · 29/02/2020 09:16

Most people don't have the stomach to research this and don't want to see all those things you can't unsee. You should look at the Click Off and OBJECT websites. They've done research on the most popular search terms on PH which show how violence, 'barely legal' (paedophilic), torture, incest and misogynistic p*rn is often the top most searches.

Strongmummy · 29/02/2020 09:21

I think where I struggle to get comfortable with “authentic” feminism (whatever that even means) is that it denies women’s sexuality and that sex is an important aspect of human nature for both sexes. I agree that there’s a lot of porn out there that I find abhorrent. Now that could be because 1) it’s depicting something abhorrent/illegal 2) I’m very concerned for the welfare of the participants 3) I’m not into a particular fetish. However there is quite a bit that I enjoy. Some women also have particular fetishes that you may find degrading, but in fact they find incredibly liberating. For example submission. A woman may enjoy completely submitting to a man/watching porn which depicts that, but that is in no way what she wants in reality.

There’s nuance. I’d like a world where sexuality can be embraced and women and men can choose what they do with their bodies without judgement. There are many involved in porn who enjoy it , trust me!

I do agree however that porn is addictive and should be used with caution.

DonnaQuixote · 29/02/2020 09:23

You mean "most women", because I can assure you, most men really have no problem watching degradation of women in porn, they don't see their sex being humiliated 24/7 so it does not effect them.

Strongmummy · 29/02/2020 09:28

I agree with a lot of what you’re saying. Where I really do struggle however, is where you demonise all porn as by doing that you’re denying women sexual pleasure too. As part of your research why don’t you go onto a chat room and speak to the women involved.

DonnaQuixote · 29/02/2020 09:39

@Strongmummy

Not everything is about you and your choices. Porn is harmfull for women as a class. Fetishes are not born out of thin air. Studies show women who watch porn, especially violent and degrading types, were more likely sexually abused as children. Women should explore their authentic sexuallity, not the one served to them by industry promoting misogyny.

ShootsFruitAndLeaves · 29/02/2020 09:40

There's lots of illegal underage material on these sites and not just Pornhub. Just search for something like 'school', especially in non-English languages (i.e. translated into Spanish or whatever): good luck working out which of those involved are 18+ and which aren't, especially when there are things that looked to have been filmed on mobile phones, and obviously aren't professional productions of adult women dressed up as schoolgirls, because the quality is so low.

DonnaQuixote · 29/02/2020 09:43

@Strongmummy

Which chat rooms are you talking about? And you don't need porn to pleasure yourself .

deydododatdodontdeydo · 29/02/2020 09:43

I'm anti porn, but I'm not convinced the vast majority of porn is violence and degradation.
I've looked at a few sites for research purposes Confused and extreme stuff doesn't seem to be the majority.

Strongmummy · 29/02/2020 09:46

@DonnaQuixote but not everything is about your world view is it? This is the second time you’ve used the word “authentic” and I’m unsure why. Just because you don’t like something, doesn’t mean it isn’t authentic 🤣. It’s such a patronising view of the world. You also realise that many porn directors are women , don’t you. I’d love MORE porn to be made specifically FOR women BY women. I can assure you tho it would cater for fetishes that you may not feel are authentic 🤣
