Now granted, I've not fully fleshed this idea out, but in the light of @theflushedzebra pointing out that trans activists never seem to stop giving each other awards, we should have our own virtual FWR awards for services to feminism in 2019.

As the founder of this ceremony, I expect designers will be queuing up to allow me to "wear" them.

Post your nominations below, and feel free to describe how fabulous you look at the ceremony!

My nomination for best British female solo artist goes to : Maya Forstarter for grace and clarity under considerable pressure.

Oh wow. So many amazing women, I've found more present, active and amazing female role models to admire in the last year than I'd run across in my life before. (And almost none of them figure in public life.)

Another vote for Fair Play for Women
Maya Forstater and Julie Bindel, obviously.
The FWR posters lost in action who fell to the ban hammer for truthing.
Anne Ruzylo, one of the speakers on this who has been at the Womens Place events and who really makes me think- that's the calibre of speaker and person who should be leading a Labour Party that would be both electable and functional.
Oh so much Magdalen.
Joanna Cherry and Joan McAlpine
Datun. Obvs.
Peach yoghurt, another brilliant speaker
Jane Clare Jones for every single tweet and article written

ScapaFlo · 05/12/2019 15:39

Yes yes yes to all of these. All worthy recipients.

So what are these awards going to look like? Obviously they will NOT be phallus shaped. The dagger has already been claimed by the crime writers association.

TinselAngel · 05/12/2019 16:09

So what are these awards going to look like?

I'm torn between a vulva and a raised fist. Or boobies.

tooyoungat40 · 05/12/2019 16:12

How about one of those flowers that looks like a vulva?

Itsallgonetoofar · 05/12/2019 16:12

Hopefully they're not carnivorous.
