I really have to impress on everyone just how important it is to get out and vote Labour. The Tories have done nothing for anyone other than their rich buddies, and our present PM is a sexist bigot. Please vote Labour to save the NHS. Please.

OP posts:
BarbaraStrozzi · 30/11/2019 08:12

Yup, a big piss off from me too.

Just disappointed the Monster Raving Loony Party aren't standing in my constituency.

BarbaraStrozzi · 30/11/2019 08:13

But I do have an all-male lineup to choose from. Angry

xxyzz · 30/11/2019 08:46

Couldn't possibly vote Lanour, being both female and Jewish.

Labour has made it crystal clear that it doesn't want my vote and doesn't care about my safety.

HumberHellraiser · 30/11/2019 09:14

Labour don’t give a shit about women. Not a single female leader. Unions consistently selling out on women’s rights and forcing women to fight alone.

Now momentum and their open commitment to self ID and shutting women up - no actually bullying - at conference.

And all this when they hope to get our votes!! What the fuck will they do if they actually get in?

No fucking way.

MsMcWibble · 30/11/2019 09:57

Can't get the Labour conference out of my head. All those people being so applauding the intimidation of women at the WPUK meeting.
So they want us not to be able to meet to discuss our rights? How does anyone think that women can effect change in a party like that?

LangCleg · 30/11/2019 10:44

So, OP, just plopping to command women? Or got a response to this?

Ereshkigal · 30/11/2019 10:50

NO. It's a complete sentence, OP.

Datun · 30/11/2019 10:57

It really couldn't be plainer.

I would honestly vote Tory before I voted Labour. And I say this as a working class Northerner.

Milanimilani · 30/11/2019 11:29

I get so pissed off with our electoral system. If I like one of my local candidates, it does not mean I like the party. Twice now, I’ve lived in constituency where this has happened.

Mind you, its better than living somewhere where I know nothing about the candidates.

PenguindreamsofDraco · 30/11/2019 12:13

Nope. Not a chance. Not for a million reasons, just one of which is Jeremy "he/his" Corbyn and the zero fucks he gives for women's rights. Jog right along.

Floisme · 30/11/2019 12:36

I really have to impress on you, op that I've voted Labour for 45 years and, while I thank you for remembering us with less than two weeks to go to polling day, I doubt there is anything you can say that I haven't already considered very carefully.

If you are serious about reaching me then maybe you could try and impress on your leadership that I'm still waiting for them to a) confirm that their commitment to single spaces is based on biology not gender and b) apologise for Brighton.

Siameasy · 30/11/2019 12:48

Absolutely no way am I voting Labour thanks for the reminder

BovaryX · 30/11/2019 14:21

I don’t think this thread went the way the OP expected....

MidnightCircus · 30/11/2019 16:30

Hmm, seeing lots of Labour voters telling everyone to vote Labour but not anywhere near so many Tory or Lib Dem voters telling people they must vote for that party. It's almost like Labour voters are worried they'll lose...

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 30/11/2019 17:49

Even their canvassers can't summon up anything more compelling than 'vote against the Tories'.

They have had my complete undivided loyalty for 30 years. But they aren't my party anymore Sad

Inebriati · 30/11/2019 17:52

No self respecting women should wish or work for the success of a party who ignores her sex.

While I agree with all the sentiments about labour shafting women over self ID, the picture of JC with LM doesn't prove there is any camaraderie between them. I've got a picture of me with him when he came to speak at a local constitutency party meeting, a few years ago- doesn't mean he endorses me in any way, thank goodness! Or that I endorse him. Almost everyone on the room lined up to get their picture taken with him - in hindsight it was a sign of the celebrity but no substance status that he has achieved. Getting back to the thread, I have no idea who to vote for. Can't ever vote Tory, the Labour candidate has swallowed the Kool Aid, and the Lib Dem candidate hasn't replied to my email about the Young Lib Dems recent horrible tweet. But I will vote, and it will have to not be based on single issue politics. And I won't do what I am told to do by anyone!

nauticant · 30/11/2019 18:18

This thread should help you understand OP:

Oops I was a bit late with the above post but the message is good enough to be posted twice.

zen1 · 30/11/2019 18:29

I am a member of the Labour Party and I won’t be voting for them or anyone else come 12th Dec. Spoiling my ballot is my only option this time round.

ThePurported · 30/11/2019 18:38

then, you can fight for your ideologies

Have you told that to the TRAs and Labour people who want to make gender ideology the law?

Self id is such a monumentally stupid policy that I wouldn't trust any party that supports it on any issue.

Natsku · 30/11/2019 18:44

I'm almost relieved that I can't vote because I can't find a proxy as I really can't see any party worth voting for.

Lumene · 30/11/2019 18:56

Labour under Corbyn are not going to make any positive practical difference to society.
