Labour has told us loud and clear that they don’t want our votes.
They know they are pushing women who care about women away. This should never have been a moral dilemma for left wing women. This is a dilemma that Labour has created, because we don’t matter to them.
They are banking on women caving in and voting for them anyway, through gritted teeth, just to give some men a nicer life. Same as we always have.
In my view, the only way to make any politicians give a damn about women and girls, is to refuse to take yet another one for the team.
Labour could so very easily have our votes, but they don't want them enough to promise not to remove the very few protections we have.
We are not even asking for conditions to be improved for women and girls; we are only asking for the satus quo to remain. But not even that are they willing to give us.
And it will hit the most vulnerable women the hardest. The wealthier can afford private healthcare, where they are likely to be allowed to ask for female hcp’s. The wealthier are unlikely to ever go to prison. The wealthier are unlikely to be held in secure psychiatric units. The wealthier are less likely to use community leisure centres with mixed sex changing rooms.
Only the better off women can afford a Labour government.
