The Badley Fuckitt Pop-Up Winter Gin Bar

Come one, come all!

Badley Fuckitt’s pop-up Winter gin bar is open for business. We’ve got faux-sheepskins, a log fire being stoked by young Nigel and enough gin to drown an army of sealions. (Note to PETA, not real ones, natch)

Collapses on chaise longue and weakly gestures for the bottle

Bring more dogs next weekend.

BadgertheBodger · 24/11/2019 22:57

Pumpkin welcome, let me know if you’d like a bit of enormous dog to warm you MrsSnippy is out of small ones. Unless you’ve brought your own?

Can I come in? No gin, though. Just, fuck off, no. I get such a headache, don't even get to finish the drink...

I'm a Malbec girl myself. Brought my own just in case

GeordieTerf · 24/11/2019 23:08

I just have to say:

I am getting mighty sick of all the gender critical proposals/ letters sent to political parties that are being advertised on FWR. Gender critical feminists have done nothing wrong. We shouldn't be begging the Greens, Lib Dems, WEP, Labour et al to take us back. They should be begging us to come back.

I will not curl up into the fetal position in the hope that they will throw me a bone. If they don't want me, that's fine. I will easily find a party that will.

Rant over.

Pass me a mulled wine Wine

ErrolTheDragon · 24/11/2019 23:08

Evening all! I've brought my own small dog, well, he's small vertically but long horizontally so he can drape across someone else as well as me.

I have never had sloe gin. I think this needs rectifying.

BadgertheBodger · 24/11/2019 23:09

Fleetsum yes. We don’t discriminate against alcohol in Badley Fuckitt. Malbecphobia will not be tolerated, I assure you.

No Frosty Jack cider though. There are some limits.

Also...how many people do you think a St Bernard would cover? Just so MrsSnippy can get the small dog ratio right next weekend

APerkyPumpkin · 24/11/2019 23:14

No dogs thanks Bodger, am allergic. It'll set me right off.

If anyone has a crocheted blankie they can fling over me, I'd be happy just to sit and polish off a fiendish sudoku, I'm a cheap date me.

Gingerkittykat · 24/11/2019 23:14

You know what's an abomination? Violet gin.

I rarely drink and my one drink out on a trip to the theatre (with gender neutral toilets) was a violet gin and it was weird, bitter and nasty.

Edinburgh gin is my gin of choice, especially the raspberry and rhubarb and ginger.

Can I have a Baileys coffee please? Made to my own proportions ie about 1/3 Baileys and not the mean measure you would normally get in a pub.

BadgertheBodger · 24/11/2019 23:19

No problem Pumpkin I’ve a half finished blanket somewhere

Ginger I agree about violet gin. ‘It’s disgusting . Here though, have the Baileys bottle and help yourself

What for sheltering under from the weather? I think we'd need one each TBH.

BadgertheBodger · 24/11/2019 23:27

Just for chilly feet and bits of lap I think Tinsel. Maybe we could share, one between two. Mind, I’d have to somehow get rid of this farty barty beside me

OP posts:
Chiochan · 24/11/2019 23:29

my gin and grapefruit is 80% gin.

ive had a bad day.

BadgertheBodger · 24/11/2019 23:30

want to tell us about it Chiochan? You don’t have to at all but I’ll definitely listen if you want to share

Actually I might trade my St Bernard in for a Husky. Less drooling.

BadgertheBodger · 24/11/2019 23:36

Do you think you could train a husky to pull you home on a sledge when you’ve had a few too many?

OP posts:
Inebriati · 24/11/2019 23:44

Get an Exmoor pony and he'll have a beer with you, then take you safely home.

TinselAngel · 24/11/2019 23:45

Do you think you could train a husky to pull you home on a sledge when you’ve had a few too many?

Almost certainly

TinselAngel · 24/11/2019 23:46

Get an Exmoor pony and he'll have a beer with you, then take you safely home.

Horses are too needy.

ErrolTheDragon · 24/11/2019 23:50

I'm sure a husky could do that, except for the lack of snow. I think you'd need a sort of cart.

If it was my dog and the pub happened to be near one of his 'holiday aunties' he'd take me there instead. He's tried this a couple of times when we've been in parks near their houses, determinedly leading us on routes we weren't familiar with until we suddenly twigged what he was doing.

ErrolTheDragon · 25/11/2019 00:11

If anyone's still awake in here, can I wave this around and see if anyone wants to sign it?

I don't suppose there's a Brandy and a small dog for me is there?
