Badley Fuckitt’s pop-up Winter gin bar is open for business. We’ve got faux-sheepskins, a log fire being stoked by young Nigel and enough gin to drown an army of sealions. (Note to PETA, not real ones, natch)

I made the most amazing gin last year it was basically homemade blackberry jam gin. We'd been blackberry-picking and made so many jars of blackberry jam I just mixed one in with a bottle of gin it was the most delicious drink poured over lots of ice with a tiny splash of tonic. I had to stop making it because I was turning into an alcoholic.

Or a godmother which is 1.5 vodka and 1 amaretto

Or i also like a rusty nail which is drambuie and whisky

Mine is enormous. He’s currently taking up 3/4 of my chaise, snoring and I’m wedged after an uncomfortable angle. If I asked him to be a foot warmer he’d probably break an ankle

Thanks Rufus. One of DH’s business contacts gave him a bottle of whisky a couple of years ago and neither of us drink it, but I am a fan of cocktails and Amaretto.

Lynchberg lemonade is nice cocktail

I know its made with Jack Daniels but im sure you could swap it with whisky

And that a shot of cointreau, shot of JD lots of ice and then lemonade

It’s either a single malt Glenfiddich or Glenmorangie (sp?). Apart from the fact its in a fancy tube, I can’t remember and I’m too lazy to go and look. We gave the previous year’s bottle to a friend, which was Glenfiddich IIRC.

Dh used to work for a drinks company about 25 years ago...got some lovely cheap alcohol then, some not so lovely

But they did have a chocolate whisky based liquour...bit like baileys in texture
