A man. A man who looks like a man, and identifies as a man,
isn't allowed in a women's changing room. How terribly transphobic and sexist. Read the comments and the way he ignores women's concerns, as even if 1 out of a 1000 men, (he kind of forgets who he is meant to be championing here) was bad you shouldn't be able to tar all of male kind with the same brush. one out of a thousand eh? Hmm.

It's all so thinly disguised isn't it?

Well done to the Primark staff who decided that a man demanding he be allowed in a changing room with a young girl, is the last man who should be allowed in.

i expect robert is busy beavering over his next dreary 'thought~provoking' article.

'A recent experience had opened my eyes to the hateful bigotry of feminists.'

whatwouldbigfatfannydo · 15/08/2019 07:34

*Here’s an interesting little thought-exercise to get your brain woken up:
Why is the term, ‘sexual predator’ used, pretty much exclusively, as an accusatory and derogatory term? What, when you really bother to think about it, is actually wrong with being a sexual predator? It is ridiculous the way people are smeared through the use of the term, as if being a sexual predator is somehow a bad thing. *

What the actual fuck???? Envy

Someone had kids with this moron Confused

Datun · 15/08/2019 07:38

Similarly, the term ‘pervert’ is used almost exclusively in a derogatory way. In particular, older men who enter relationships with much younger women are often derided as ‘perverts’ — but what’s wrong with being a pervert?

Says the man driven to write an outraged article on not being allowed into changing rooms with teen girls.

Floisme · 15/08/2019 07:39

He wrote that?
And yet he thinks we're nasty?

Solonelywastheballard · 15/08/2019 07:51

What a fucking idiot.

1st that he equates not being allowed in a changing room with the struggles and predudice a trans person faces.

2nd that he doesn't understand why woman treat all men as potential abusers, and why we should have a right to privacy.

3rd that thinks a curtain provides ample privacy, so much so that any time Dick or harry should be able to enter.

That's someone that lives in their own little bubble of self entitlement.

OrchidInTheSun · 15/08/2019 07:57

I don't think anyone's had kids with him, whatwould. The changing room daughter article is just a mechanism.

MRAs generally don't have kids - or relationships with women for that matter. Which is why they're so very angry with us.

Solonelywastheballard · 15/08/2019 08:00

After reading the second article, I now think he's a pedo and exactly the type of man we need to keep out of women's only spaces.

GirlDownUnder · 15/08/2019 08:01

MRAs generally don't have kids - or relationships with women for that matter.

And this is generally not their choice. They just never work out why women run a mile.

I believe there’s an actual term for that...

whatwouldbigfatfannydo · 15/08/2019 08:02

@OrchidInTheSun

I'm hoping his daughter is fictitious. Especially after reading the other articles posted here...

What a dangerous man

whatwouldbigfatfannydo · 15/08/2019 08:16

Well, thanks for explaining the argument against biological men competing in sports for biological women. That last sentence there sums it up nicely (albeit badly written and shallow). Grin

Also noticed that he had absolutely no counter points for a distinguished academic expert in the field who commented with the words of wisdom we all need. Wink

Would love for this cretin to explain the credentials he possesses that trump Martina Navratilova's expertise on the subject? The self-promotion and progressive 'thought experiments' do not convince me sadly. Grin

The way the LGB community are being treated is horrifying. Their rights are being erased as rapidly as women's are. Organisations like Stonewall have well and truly turned their backs on the very people whom it exists to fight for! Angry

Deliriumoftheendless · 15/08/2019 08:35

Don’t upset him too much or he’ll be telling us about when he gorged on Toblerone and drove to Dundee in his bare feet.

GirlDownUnder · 15/08/2019 08:40

I believe RobertJameson means all of his words.

So when he said I've said my bit. I’d not expect to see him back.

Nothing to do with inability to refute the arguments here, or explain how he’s not the things he’s being accused of.

bunslinger · 15/08/2019 08:49

Robert has predictably misogynistic views on sport too: "if women need a special event because of the genetic disadvantages that handicap them, perhaps that should be in the paralympics"

Because obviously women are just defective men.

whatwouldbigfatfannydo · 15/08/2019 08:55

@bunslinger

So, he's misogynistic, sexist, racist and disablist now!?

I'm a mixed race woman who happens to have genetic conditions that cause mobility issues to the point I need a wheelchair and other aids. I'd love to meet this twat Grin

whatwouldbigfatfannydo · 15/08/2019 08:57

Oh! And sympathetic to the plight of sexual predators... forgot about that one!
I've no skin in that game though, thankfully

Datun · 15/08/2019 08:58

Robert, word of advice.

If you want to have an intellectual wank and salivate over the offence you're causing, you go right ahead. But don't be surprised to be viewed as anything other than a dangerous, sexist tosser.

Dressing up misogyny as 'thought experiments' to alleviate male bitterness is depressingly common.

You're not special, your minimising thoughts about predation and perversion are ten a penny.

You're talking to women here. I guarantee we know more men like you than you do.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 15/08/2019 09:03

Very well put, Datun. He really is an unpleasant little weasel.

Juells · 15/08/2019 09:03

Datun

Says the man driven to write an outraged article on not being allowed into changing rooms with teen girls.

He must have given off such a creepy vibe for the Primark staff to dig their heels in the way they did. Presenting himself as some kind of righteous campaigner, only wanting to accompany his child into the changing room. You have to wonder if it was wise of him to draw so much attention to himself by writing the article, and defending the rights of predators and perverts.

Juells · 15/08/2019 09:06

As for this... Some of the clothes she wanted to try on were fastened at the back and she would probably need my assistance in the fitting room to fasten the clothes and get them adjusted properly. ...it sounds so fucking paper-thin.

nettie434 · 15/08/2019 09:09

MRAs generally don't have kids - or relationships with women for that matter.

Sadly, I disagree. I think MRAs often have failed relationships and cause a lot of damage to their partners and children. Incels (somebody up thread mentioned them) are fewer in number. While many incels do share the same views as MRAs (and white supremacists), I see them as a sub group within the larger MRA movement.

GlitchStitch · 15/08/2019 09:11

Seriously, is this guy a published writer? He's really shit. The women on FWR throwing together a quick post on their lunch break, or whilst caring for their kids or on the train to work communicate far better than the drivel he saw fit to publish. I guess it's the confidence of a mediocre male again.

GlitchStitch · 15/08/2019 09:12

I mean at least purchase a thesaurus. It's very repetitive.

Juells · 15/08/2019 09:19

I can see why he's an advocate of a basic income. He's entitled to be supported by the ignorant masses while he's sitting around pontificating. Grin

ScrimshawTheSecond · 15/08/2019 09:25

Self-published, glitchstitch. He has selfpublished many, articles along the lines of 'how hard it is to be a genius' and various 'thought experiments' pleading the rights of perverts and paedophiles. But he's also a lovely man, very kind.

RoyalCorgi · 15/08/2019 09:33

I don't believe it can really be Robert Jameson commenting here. Why?

  1. We know Robert Jameson is Highly Intelligent and Very Good at Rational Argument. He's said so lots of times.
  1. The Robert Jameson commenting here has simply argued his case by using the words "bigot" and "bigoted" over and over again.
  1. Name-calling does not constitute rational argument.
  1. Therefore that cannot be Robert Jameson.

Prove me wrong...
