Thoughtful insights into how some women get drawn into the wrong side of the debate.

You are not asking us to imagine how other people feel.

You are asking us to imagine being inside someone else’s body.

PetrolBastard · 31/07/2019 18:43

No, but people can become trans women and trans men and those people deserve to be treated fairly and kindly. Meaning you don't treat them in a way that is going to cause them massive amounts of distress just because you personally don't like the idea of people changing their physical appearance.

Michelleoftheresistance · 31/07/2019 18:43

Not wanting to share resources?

But you're fine with excluding women, mostly vulnerable women, from those resources who for whatever reason can't be in a space with a male regardless of how that male identifies? Because that's an inevitable cost here. You're pushing that exclusion.

Yet again. Blaming women for not sharing: (hello guilt and shame and appeal to socialisation) yet really what you're saying is that the material realities of all women are of less importance and less deserving than the feelings of some males.

These males are really important to you. More important than any of the 51% of the female population.

That of a feline. 🤣

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 31/07/2019 18:45

Sure thing

But they haven’t changed sex, so they shouldn’t be attempting to access provisions intended for the opposite sex

Sorry kid, thems the facts

Datun · 31/07/2019 18:45

Ooh, you turncoat, you. What about all those Felix's waiting for you to champion them??

Oh, petrol, are you a furry???

Endofthedays · 31/07/2019 18:45

I don’t mind adults changing their physical appearance.

PetrolBastard · 31/07/2019 18:46

I disagree. And nothing you've said is a fact. That's your opinion.

JessicaWakefieldSV · 31/07/2019 18:47

That's why I'm suggesting you imagine how other people feel rather than just saying well I don't feel like that so it must be impossible.

There are people with all sorts of beliefs and delusions, I’m not obliged to validate any I feel are unhealthy, insulting to me and other women, infringe upon women’s rights if indulged by authorities, and so nonsensical that they’re a waste of time and precious resources. It is utter nonsense to say we should indulge every feeling out there. That’s so bizarre.

PetrolBastard · 31/07/2019 18:47

No. I wouldn't be able to type with my paws now would I?

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 31/07/2019 18:47

What, it’s my opinion that people can’t change sex?

Well, this is Nobel prize stuff

Links please?

Datun · 31/07/2019 18:48

petrol

When you equate kindness and accommodation with treating humans as though they are animals, you lose the plot.

Additionally, men can't be women, women can't be men. Don't, please don't, appeal to women's socialisation to be kind, when it fucks them.

Give me the benefit to women, as a cohort, for accepting men as women. Just give me one. That doesn't involve why can't you fucking be kind.

Michelleoftheresistance · 31/07/2019 18:49

You're new to FWR aren't you? Smile

GC women are enthusiastic about anyone of any sex looking any way they want. Of choices of clothes and hobbies and self expression being totally unhindered by stereotypes or gender straight jackets. They believe any man can dress and behave any way and have any physical appearance and still be a man, and that any woman can dress and behave any way and have any physical appearance and still be a woman.

And that sex based rights are based on that inescapable, fixed fact biology for women because of the oppression and specific needs resulting from that biology.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 31/07/2019 18:50

JessicaWakefieldSV · 31/07/2019 18:50

Meaning you don't treat them in a way that is going to cause them massive amounts of distress

I don’t appreciate attempts at emotional manipulation of women. We do not need to prioritise males and their feelings. If women are being ordered to accept men as women because not to do so causes them stress, that is blatant and grotesque misogyny and I am not going to get naked with males because otherwise they are fucking upset. Fuck that.

Endofthedays · 31/07/2019 18:51

My opinions on this are being influenced by my dislike of cats.

JessicaWakefieldSV · 31/07/2019 18:51

And nothing you've said is a fact

No. People can’t change sex. That’s factual.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 31/07/2019 18:53

Aw, just a little scratch behind the ears? 🐱

Datun · 31/07/2019 18:53

Still waiting for the benefit to women if they treat men as women. C'mon petrol, miaow.

Endofthedays · 31/07/2019 18:56

I now have a horror that cat people are going to spend their time jumping into my garden and throwing themselves on and off the shed, then sunbathing outside my kitchen window.

Datun · 31/07/2019 18:58

You have to accommodate them, Endof. Do you know that?

Michelleoftheresistance · 31/07/2019 19:00

End it's fine, just accommodate one of the puppy guys from Pride too.

Endofthedays · 31/07/2019 19:00

What if I identify as a dog?

ScrimshawTheSecond · 31/07/2019 19:01

you don't treat them in a way that is going to cause them massive amounts of distress

So, if women are telling you that transwomen accessing their spaces is going to cause them massive amounts of stress, because of self ID (and we are, very very many of us, telling you precisely that), surely our distress matters, too? No? If not, why not?

Endofthedays · 31/07/2019 19:01

That’s a better idea, Michelle. I’m too tired to start identifying as things.
