Yes, anyone working in animal rescue will tell you this. Many stray animals have been abused by men so will not be rescued by them, females have to attend most rescues or be called in to help in these situations. It’s a natural response from abused animals, including humans.

Anyone who suggests males should be able to go into women’s refuge, with women experiencing trauma response to males, is an absolute misogynistic uncaring arse.

You cannot expect those abused by men, human animals or non human animals, to be comfortable around males when they are working through that trauma. It is insane and cruel behaviour.
