In general, what do you feel about The LGBT Foundation using a 'gender fluid' person to promote lesbian visibility day?

No links. No judgement of any one perticular person.

Just a discussion about the GENERAL situation as my original post was removed for not being in the spirit

Yet another lesbian deletion.

Am really getting fucking sick if this.

Oh and I dont think I'm overly intelligent or particularly educated, but I've depended my position for 24 hours altogether. A few people have definitely got me thinking. Just because I may be talking above your head doesnt mean I'm intentionally talking down to you because you are a woman. Its a shame you see the world that way.

Michelleoftheresistance · 28/04/2019 10:51

I'm giving you ideas you dont like

No love, mostly you're just boring the crap out of women.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 10:53

Thats fair enough, things people disagree with often cant stand listening to them.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 11:00

Also I may nit be intelligent in your eyes which is fine, but I know I'm not as educated on these matters thats why I'm here. Gladly I have learned from a few and I'm grateful for that.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 28/04/2019 11:10

How often do you think men tip up on this board wanting to argue with the regulars? Have a little think about how frequent that might be...

It gets really monotonous.

TheInebriati · 28/04/2019 11:11

This is the most ironic thread for a man to derail.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 11:20

I'm not trying to argue in the traditional sense I'm trying to use the reasonable and logic arguements and some philosophical ones. I have one person a name and that was stupid and immediately apologised because I attacked her and not the arguement. I have only retorted to people who said sexist or misandrist things to me. The reason I'm still here is that there has been some interesting ideas that have made me reassess my own ideas. That and I feel it a moral obligation to call out misogyny, misandry and sexism, I'm sure you feel the same.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 28/04/2019 11:21

It is, isn't it?

It was lesbians that first peak transed me. The vile cotton ceiling.

I've always been a lesbian ally but I've felt much more intense about it over recent years. I get the rage about how they're treated.

Why do men always assume Feminism about equality?

We don’t want to be equal, we want to be liberated.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 11:27

Liberated from what?

NotBadConsidering · 28/04/2019 11:31

Agree Prawn the Cotton Ceiling was key for me. That Autostraddle article. Just utterly vile. Can’t fathom how people happily sit on their hands while lesbians are being told to accept penis.

Prequelle · 28/04/2019 11:32

I had an argument with a man about this the other day. He said feminists are man haters because we don't fight for equality.

^feminism isn't about men. Why would it be? It's predominantly women fighting for their own interests and rights. I'm not sure why that's such an issue for people. It's like complaining that Black peoples societies aren't doing enough for white people :/ are women not allowed to have something that's about their own interests, without men having to be automatically involved too?

That doesn't mean we hate men or that we don't do things for men. I support men in lots of different areas but it doesn't have to come under the feminism umbrella. I'm sure men can cope with us having something to ourselves that is about us and our needs^

birdsdestiny · 28/04/2019 11:33

Lesbians. Adult human females attracted to other adult human females. In case we forget what the thread is about.

TheInebriati · 28/04/2019 11:34

I recently realised that I've started judging people by how they react to the cotton ceiling. If they don't see it as a problem or minimise it or pretend they haven't heard of it or its made up, I assume they have dodgy views on sexual violence.

Floisme · 28/04/2019 11:37

You have to laugh when someone spends 24 hours trying to stop women talking but then has to ask what we want liberating from.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 11:37

Which I've said why shoukd you have to accept that, I also dont agree them playing mens combat sports, the male body is completely different if you trans at 30,, I don't wanna see women hurt. I think I probably the left has gone to far with certain things.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 11:39

Whel thel, thats a vey sick way of thinking, I genuinely feel sorry you have to feel that way.

BertrandRussell · 28/04/2019 11:40

I didn’t realise there was a glitter ball emoji!!!!

A propos nothing.....

NotBadConsidering · 28/04/2019 11:44

TheInebriati very good idea. It’s a good lean in as well.

NotBadConsidering · 28/04/2019 11:45

*Lead in. As in Everest Base Camp.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 11:47

Prequelle I agree women should fight for there rights, but why should their rights be above a mans. Everyone should have equal rights and if feminists want more than everyone else thats just fighting for feminism, not all women want what you want.

It isn't about men but as a human being I will ffight your rights to be equal where I see the evidence that I think it needs to happen. If I see cause I'll do my hardest to fight it.

Also read the 100s of poats I wrote, a lot are sexism and misandry.
