In general, what do you feel about The LGBT Foundation using a 'gender fluid' person to promote lesbian visibility day?

No links. No judgement of any one perticular person.

Just a discussion about the GENERAL situation as my original post was removed for not being in the spirit

Yet another lesbian deletion.

Am really getting fucking sick if this.

The point is that the ratio of differences in violence between women’s and men’s is significant and in other contexts you would likely adapt your behaviour to reflect that.

After all we're all violent misogynists.

MIdgebabe · 28/04/2019 09:03

No I think people are saying that men are more likely to commit violence than women. It’s like saying smokers are more like than non smokers to get cancer. SO most people try to avoid smoking or try to give up smoking even though not all smokers get cancer.

Sorry if it’s complicated, probability/statistical and hypothetical reasoning can be mind blowing, but you wanted fact based discussion

NeurotrashWarrior · 28/04/2019 09:13

Jesus, is is me or has a man found a way to make a thread by a lesbian protesting that men are making lesbian day invisibility all about them, all about him?

NeurotrashWarrior · 28/04/2019 09:14

*of visibility

Except they're invisible, Freudian slip.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 09:16

No she used statistics that were misleading. And according to she is misusing them to make a point. According to her logic 93% of the poeple getting on the plane are violent murders. She is saying out of the 100 people getting on the plane 93 of them are violent killers and rapists. 0.5% of them are, half a person. I get the point she is trying to make, even if I have seen slightly different numbers I'll accept hers, but it was a terrible way to do it. If she said half a person getting on that plane may be violent, that would make sense. She's manipulating the numbers to make a false point.

Good one nero ...

Trebe · 28/04/2019 09:18

Its scaremongering.

aprarl · 28/04/2019 09:19

Yeah I wouldn't feed it too much really.

The point of the thread stands despite the attempted derailing.

Simple fact: males cannot become female, and therefore cannot become "lesbians".

Trebe · 28/04/2019 09:20

Apral, agreed .

Cheekyfeckery · 28/04/2019 09:20

I stopped paying attention when he told Lesbians
“You as a group should have fought harder”.

Fucks sake. 🙄

Trebe · 28/04/2019 09:22

If it was derailed slighly on the last two pages then I apologise. However I'm not going to sit here and not defend my views. They aren't even particularly controversial.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 09:23

You should, to many sided with the trans without realising what it would do to women.

aprarl · 28/04/2019 09:24

Yy Cheekyfeckery, pushed it too far, then called everyone terfs.

Ignore.

Cheekyfeckery · 28/04/2019 09:24

It’s very tiresome.

We know it’s not all men.
But it’s a significant amount that let you down.

That’s not the fault of women.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 28/04/2019 09:25

We don’t need protecting.
We need men to stop being cunts to us.

birdsdestiny · 28/04/2019 09:33

This is a thread about lesbians. Lesbians.
We have all heard this boring stuff hundreds of times before.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 09:34

Cheeky you make a relatively good point. Its not the fault of women but you cant blame over 99% of the population including when you have 1% of the population behind bars in america. Also women hit men all the time, seen it happen, had it happen. Thats violence too but being a man makes it have much more stigma so we don't report. I think its right to blame a singular person for hitting you, but to blame everyone? A lot of crime is committed by minorities, should we hate them?

BertrandRussell · 28/04/2019 09:35

In general, I think it’s crap.

Cheekyfeckery · 28/04/2019 09:36

Trebe all you have done is told us where we have got it wrong, what we should do etc etc.

Obviously it’s making you feel special but it’s really boring.

You are doing the ‘not all men’ at by doing so you are part of the problem.

Bye.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 09:36

Birdsdestiny I'm talking about lesbians because this seems to be where the misandry is by some members. Other members some fascinating points that are making me think my viewpoints whilst also understanding the mindset of people who think like the misandrists and sexists.

Trebe · 28/04/2019 09:40

Well I'm trying to have a logical discussion with the better educated, but no one has really told me what and why are they offended. The idea may offend you but its a valid arguement.when its not I've admitted it and apologised. Not sure what else I can do to be accommodating in a discussion.
