Ama - transwoman

I've heard about Mumsnet for years in regards to views on transgender women. But until today I had never visited the site. I've spent hours reading posts related to transwomen and the gender ID bill. I do think there is a little bit of a disconnect with regards to who and what we are. So I've decided to setup this profile with a mind to answering questions you may have about being transgender. I'm not in to hate or insults, so you won't see me participate in any mud slinging, name calling or anything else. I will, however, answer any legitimate questions from my own perspective. I do not speak for the whole trans community and would not try to, but will happily share what I know.

TheBewilderness Rules of Misogyny:

(extract)
2nd rule of misogyny: Women saying no to men is a hate crime.

3rd rule of misogyny: Women speaking for themselves are exclusionary and selfish.

4th rule of misogyny: Women's opinions are violence against men thus male violence against women is justified.

5th rule of misogyny: WATM! Women and Feminism must be useful to men or they are worthless.

8th rule of misogyny: Men are whatever men say they are and women are whatever men say they are.

9th rule of misogyny: Men always know the "real reasons" for everything women do and say.

11th rule of misogyny: Basic pattern recognition skills are cruel and evil when they hurt men's feelings.

Well worth reading in full. I do miss theBewilderness here

I don’t know if anyone here follows Blaire White? She is a transwoman and one who probably does pass as a woman; at least her überfeminine and campy presentation is convincing on YouTube.

Her politics are basically kryptonite to mine, but I rrespect her honesty about being trans and she’s often very funny in a wildly, politically incorrect way.

Here is her take on the transwomen are women thing ... it’s probably not what you think.

I understand why she won't, but I so wish she would.

2BthatUnnoticed · 18/04/2019 12:51

Yes Blaire White makes a lot is sense on TG stuff.. her other politics can be a bit scary Shock

HQ why did you delete bollocks and not redickulous.. is there a new policy?

Barracker · 18/04/2019 12:53

'nasty'

Datun · 18/04/2019 12:54

Nasty? Having to counter ridiculous assertion that feeling like a woman means comfy pants?

Read the thread @OldCrone

OldCrone · 18/04/2019 12:56

Bullying? Confused

OldCrone · 18/04/2019 12:57

I've read it. Well, most of it. Maybe I missed the 'nasty' post. Which one was it?

VeronicaDinner · 18/04/2019 12:57

Yes, bullying. Don't play wide eyed Wendy with me. You know perfectly well what I'm referring to.

OldCrone · 18/04/2019 12:58

How do you know what I know? Can you read my mind?

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 18/04/2019 12:59

I don't think being asked to back up an assertion is bullying is it?

I'd like to see examples of 'nasty' if you'd care to provide them Veronica

Datun · 18/04/2019 12:59

Derision at the idea that the definition of a woman includes comfy pants and the less than positive reaction to that firstly, you should divide the sexes based on the way a male individual says women think, and that secondly women are responsible for their own oppression, due to the way they think, is not bullying.

Good lord. Get a grip.
