TRAs try to ruin Mumsnet survey

Just seen this one Twitter:

Transactivists are sharing a survey from @MumsnetTowers
(asking for feedback on their message boards), they're encouraging people to identify as users & complain about feminist chat. Mumsnet boards are important to so many women so please show your support

What survey is this does anyone know?

Eresh YY, think Pat Craven is important, wonderful also inspiring.

(Im not suggesting that she isn't 'cool' re MichaelMN's hope, its just not that common a descriptor that I use. Maybe an age thing- mine of course?)

If it's an amnesty as you say, surely any of those (within reason) posting a different viewpoint to the majority should be allowed back too

Posting within the rules should always be allowed whatever that person's viewpoint.

FWR being closed would surely be the LAST thing TRAs want as discussions would m,ove to the likes of AIBU and be even more widely read. Nah, they wont want FWR closed, not without the rest of the site anyway, as god forbid a primarily female space exists where women can speak (virtually) freely.

The impression can be that some want discussions kettled & controlled.

Defo.... AIBU threads zapped for becoming a 'bunfight' indeed? AIBU is all about GFs bringing on the bunfights - much needed therapy for a lot of mums. Grin

When I first came to MN I noticed all the idiotic posts. It's so huge that on many threads you're bound to have posters being goady/ biased/ passive-aggressive/ believe everything they read in the daily mail and want to make sure everyone else knows about it/ plain wrong/ haven't read the thread.
It really put me off.
Having been here a while I automatically tune out these posters so i mainly just 'absorb' the sensible or well-reasoned posts!

There does seem to sometimes be a pattern of some posters determined to either run down or force a thread zap when discussions about Women's Rights & Safeguarding issues take place on AIBU.

I don't read very many AIBU threads so it may be this is more usual but I have felt rather Hmm at what seems a pattern.

The truth is that it's made me a stronger woman all round and taught me the ability to think critically,

Me too. I value this board immensely.

I’m glad FWR will stay. I want to add my voice to the others saying that many voices were lost due to targeted reporting by MRA/TRAs and if that’s not an example of coercive control I don’t know what is.

When people like the bewilderness are banned yet TRAs can waltz on and abuse women it leaves a bad taste.

this. males do seem to get more leeway in moderation than women here.

ErrolTheDragon · 12/04/2019 11:15

I thought thebewilderness left because she felt unable to continue under the guidelines? But that's not really any better.

Lest we forget
