Have a look at the comments on their Facebook page! Trans peak?

OP posts:

The comments in Facebook are encouraging, anyway.

NellieEllie · 20/03/2019 09:26

Link not working for me?

Sicario · 20/03/2019 09:57

The photograph kind of says it all...

Frenchfancy · 20/03/2019 10:07

The comments are very encouraging. The media may have got on the band wagon but the man (or woman) on the street obviously sees things more logically.

failingatlife · 20/03/2019 10:14

Only caught the tail end of this on GMB. Is this person suing a railway company for accidental misgendering?

CaptainMarvelBunting · 20/03/2019 10:22

Ok, those comments made me laugh. In amongst the wit about Southern Rail, the comments basically show lots of people saying "Wear what you want, but I can't help noticing a man is a man"

RockyFlintstone · 20/03/2019 10:34

This is on now on This Morning...

RockyFlintstone · 20/03/2019 10:35

This will not go well for Katie I feel...

How can TM have that woman on who felt like she was black, and yet take this seriously?!

CaptainMarvelBunting · 20/03/2019 10:37

Complaining that they were called sir while wearing pink. The horror.

RockyFlintstone · 20/03/2019 10:37

Katie is cross because Katie had a blush pink skirt and scarf on, and yet was still called 'Sir'.

CaptainMarvelBunting · 20/03/2019 10:38

Has a very busy social life, so misgendering by stressed working class people is really awful.

RockyFlintstone · 20/03/2019 10:39

I think even Phil is thinking WTF.

CaptainMarvelBunting · 20/03/2019 10:41

Caroline Darrow mentioned now.

CaptainMarvelBunting · 20/03/2019 10:42

*Farrow

NoseringGirl · 20/03/2019 10:42

"It's not about the compensation"
Nah it's about getting on telly and being validated.

RockyFlintstone · 20/03/2019 10:43

This will peak trans more people.

I really do feel so sorry for the transsexuals who have been living their lives the best they can and under the radar for years.

RockyFlintstone · 20/03/2019 10:44

Misgendering is NOT discrimination, its just telling the truth!

Phil is peaking...Shock

RockyFlintstone · 20/03/2019 10:45

Oh God, they are apparently reading out comments on this later. I wonder if that will actually happen.

NoseringGirl · 20/03/2019 10:45

Absolutely agree Rocky. Trans people will also be the ones that suffer from this, there are some that are making the effort to push back against the unreasonable TRAs and I fully support them in that. They have the right to go about their lives peacefully.

CaptainMarvelBunting · 20/03/2019 10:46

That was interesting from Phil, who seemed to have a spark of understanding that it's not just about allowing 'honest mistakes' but that it's also allowing for complete disagreement.

DodoPatrol · 20/03/2019 10:49

The rail staff can't win, really. The chances of getting socked one if they call an ordinary boring long-haired man 'miss' or 'ma'am' are probably quite high too.

They are going to need to call everyone something neutral like 'customer' or 'chum' (and deeply offend my mother who bristles to her full 4 ft 10'' if someone fails to call her madam).

kenandbarbie · 20/03/2019 10:50

Oh dear, I think the comments will upset them more, judging by Facebook!

It is frustrating, do they really think people can only tell what sex someone is by what colour scarf they have on?!

Are they right about 2010 act?

NoseringGirl · 20/03/2019 10:51

I wasn't expecting Phil to take that position, even though he did go to great lengths to prove he was an ally. He's usually more on side than he was in that interview. Katie actually seemed more reasonable and balanced by the end of the interview to be fair to her.

R0wantrees · 20/03/2019 10:56

for context, Katie Yeomans discussing transition process.

2014 Went to a fancy dress party and 'dressed up as a girl for a laugh', 'never dressed before' had some nice comments, thought about how 'nice' it was, a few weeks later saw GP who referred to Gender Identity clinic!
Hmm
