A space for respect, equality & peace in the rainbow for us?

Trousering · 12/02/2019 11:07

Jax, you were describing women that pointed out the errors in your intersex posts as assholes.

Is that part of the peace and respect. If people point out factual errors and this angers you then trans inclusion allows for insults?

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 12/02/2019 11:07

i include women who identify as trans in my fight for women's rights

AssassinatedBeauty · 12/02/2019 11:14

Is there a feminist rainbow?

ImFineThankYouSusan · 12/02/2019 11:16

What Bernard said

FloralBunting · 12/02/2019 11:17

Rainbows are a visual phenomena related to water and light. There's lots of space in them because they are pretty and empty illusions. I'm sure there's a lesson there somewhere.

PurpleCrowbar · 12/02/2019 11:18

I'm with Bernard too.

stillathing · 12/02/2019 11:19

I actively include trans identified and non binary females in my feminism. I also care about all humans including those born male. I am passionate about naming and working to end male violence which will benefit all humans. I do not believe violent males are happy males.

CallMeWoman · 12/02/2019 11:19

I agree with Bernard as well. Can we get another couch?

Yes. Absolutely.

Crowdo · 12/02/2019 11:22

Predicting this thread will turn out to be the usual barrage from people who can't bear to see others have differing opinions to them though.

FlyingOink · 12/02/2019 11:22

A question.
Is it Jax-in-the-blue
Or is it Jaxin-the-blue, where "Jaxin" is a name? Just wondered.

LangCleg · 12/02/2019 11:23

Another one with Bernard.

Also, I don't use the word feminist much any more, since it has been taken over by men, particularly those on the left. I am reminded of the saying: right wing men think women are private property; left wing men think women are public property.

I am reclaiming Women's Liberation. It's much clearer.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 12/02/2019 11:24

My feminism isn’t about upholding gender roles, it’s about liberating women from the oppression forced on them by their sex. That means all adult human females, regardless of whether they have a gender identity or not.

I welcome everyone into feminism, regardless of their sex or gender. I just don't welcome everyone into some spaces that are sex-segregated.

TheShiteRunner · 12/02/2019 11:25

Also with Bernard

AssassinatedBeauty · 12/02/2019 11:25

I'm with Bernard and stillathing also.

Calling Occupants Of Interplanetary Craft

In your mind you have capacities, you know
To telepath messages through the vast unknown
Please close your eyes and concentrate
With every thought you think
Upon the recitation we're about to sing

Calling occupants of interplanetary craft
Calling occupants of interplanetary
Most extraordinary craft

You've been observing our Earth
And we'd like to make a contact with you
We are your friends

Calling occupants of interplanetary craft
Calling occupants of interplanetary
Ultra-emissaries

Yes, we've been observing your Earth
And one night we'll make a contact with you
We are your friends

Calling occupants of interplanetary
Quite extraordinary craft

And please come in peace we beseech you
Only a landing will teach them
Our Earth may never survive
So do come, we beg you
Please interstellar policeman
Won't you give us a sign
Give us a sign that we've reached you

With your mind you have ability to form
And transmit thought energy
Far beyond the norm
You close your eyes, you concentrate
Together, that's the way
To send the message
We declare World Contact Day

Calling occupants of interplanetary craft
Calling occupants of interplanetary
Most extraordinary craft

We are your friends

Ok I’m just gonna ignore the... what is this... playground taunts about what a rainbow or my name is?

OP posts:
R0wantrees · 12/02/2019 11:27

My point about assholes being assholes, was in reference to people insisting that their are only two sexes; while using the term intersex.... and; no matter the evidence, understanding or illustration of harms caused by binary thinking, you just stick to your rhetoric that intersex people are simply disordered and are not valid or entitled to having their sex classified as third, (or to respect any wider discourse of multiple sex etc)
I’m allowed to call that out dear.

It seemed to be in response to my statement,
"There is a great danger in mixing beliefs, anecdotes and biological facts."

Hmm
CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 12/02/2019 11:27

Transmen are women so yes, they are included.

userschmoozer · 12/02/2019 11:27

Oh dear OP. Your lack of understanding is a problem.
Disorders of development = development does not progress as expected.

DSD is a term, not an insult. Stop looking for reasons to take offence.

Oxytocindeficient · 12/02/2019 11:28

I am reclaiming Women's Liberation. It's much clearer.

All women, adult human females, are included in my feminism, since our biology is the reason for our oppression.
