"My vagina looked SO bad that my mom, sister, and the surgeons wouldn't even let me look at it. Eventually, I used a compact mirror to get a peak and all I could do was laugh. If only you guys knew.."

twitter.com/JazzJennings__/status/1092971983996895232

"In life, everything is about attitude & perspective. Even though my vagina falling apart was the hardest thing I ever experienced, I knew that one day I would be fully healed & recovered. I had to adopt the mindset of my future self & know in my heart that everything would be ok."

twitter.com/JazzJennings__/status/1092969159753850881

"I'm glad that this rare complication happened to me rather than to another trans individual. With the love & support of my family, it makes it easier for me to conquer a challenge like this. I can't imagine how devasting it would be for someone without that support system."

Jazz is talking about the multiple surgeries caused in large part because of the use of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.

The 'devastating' effects are what Mermaids are campaigning for for thousands of UK children.

I can’t belive the puberty blockers were given as an implant, at 11! It’s almost as if the adults were making sure Jazz couldn’t change their mind on their own.

Fuck! I’ve just peak transed for about the 100th time.

Uptheapplesandpears · 09/02/2019 08:17

Poor bloody kid.

ChattyLion · 09/02/2019 10:08

nothing’s post upthread is so important.

The intersex community say they should be left alone and allowed to decide for themselves when they're old enough.

They used to do very early surgery (babies) and really fucked up a lot of people.

This has of course been co-opted by people who have no such abnormalities, in order to push for their wants. "Assigned at birth" was stolen from the intersex community, who really were assigned at birth, and with often major consequences.

This latter point is an important thing to highlight. People often don’t really get the aspects of the TRA agenda which appropriate from women. But most decent people can see (and do object) when the experience of a patient group has been appropriated for someone else’s benefit, which totally minimises the experience of the patient group. Which was horrendous.

So all those woke wankers using the term ‘assigned at birth’ for the normal practice neonatal sex observation and recording, are massively disrespecting and appropriating the experience of intersex people who historically were ‘assigned at birth’ with sometimes devastating results.

It’s utter madness what has been done to this young person. The number of adults (transwomen in particular) commenting on Jazz’s Tweets saying they would love to meet her one day as she is so ‘inspiring’ is really bloody creepy. Especially given that Jazz is so immature for her age.

And there is nothing inspiring about this at all; it’s horrifying.

nauticant · 09/02/2019 12:55

It is amazing how the treatment provided to Jazz and other kids is so untested/unstudied. As others have said, among those willing to interfere with sexual development, those doing it to animals seem to be more cautious and wanting to consider the downsides than those doing it to children.

If you're going to apply any treatment surely you'd be aiming for 1), consider using if you were at 2), but would never want to be in 3):

  1. established it's safe;
  2. established it's not safe but know the ways in which it's not safe; and
  3. not a scooby but doing it anyway.
Thingybob · 09/02/2019 13:03

Especially given that Jazz is so immature for her age.

Jazz dropped out of school at 16 (rather unusual in America) because she had so many problems socialising with her peers. Those girls she so desperately wanted to play with in her I am Jazz book all moved on.

OlennasWimple · 09/02/2019 13:05

We recently sterilised our kitten and were advised that there is an optimum time after they are 6 months old but before they come into heat. If our vet knows this stuff, why don't the doctors experimenting on kids?

OvaHere · 20/02/2019 23:14

New People article. I think based on the latest episode of the show.

AssassinatedBeauty · 20/02/2019 23:26

The way Jazz comes across and the way Jazz is treated by Jazz's parents make it seem like Jazz is 15/16 or so. Not a young adult. I wonder if they will ever let Jazz grow up and grow away from them.

Although they’re having a serious relationship talk, Jennings isn’t afraid to crack the ice a bit.

During their conversation, Jennings notices that Ahmir’s eyes are gazing downward toward her chest.

“Does my cleavage look good?” she asks a blushing Ahmir. “You’re looking at my eyes, but then your eyes are like,” she says, emulating his facial expression.

She then takes their chat to an even more personal level. “I hope I like sex,” she says, which causes Ahmir to giggle.

Her concerns about her intimate life, though, are valid.

“Everyone likes it, but what if I don’t because of how effed up my whole vagina is?” asks Jennings, who underwent gender confirmation surgery in June 2018.

“Well, we gotta try it first, right?” she says flirtatiously as the brings her fork to her mouth.

In a recent episode of the TLC reality series, Jennings discussed her new boyfriend with her parents ahead of his visit to their home.

“Jazz is really into this guy — I’ve never seen her actually like a boy,” her mom Jeanette Jennings admitted. “And I know she’s feeling better about herself — she feels whole now and I think that’s what made it so easy for her to accept somebody into her life. But this is different than [our] other three kids because number one, she’s transgender. Number two, she just had the surgery and number three, [he’s] a stranger. So you know, as parents, you just are protective of that. Any parent would be. Plus, she’s never had a boyfriend in a sexual way so this is new territory for us.”

Family patriarch Greg Jennings then laid down some ground rules for Ahmir’s visit, including no sleeping over and no locking the door, much to his daughter’s disappointment.

“Even though I have a low libido and I don’t have those desires all the time, I want to still be able to explore sexual things,” she told her parents. “If I try it and I like it, then maybe that will create desire within me, you know?”

What have I just read?

WHY do we know this stuff about this young person? This is abusive.

Is I am Jazz turning into soft porn then? Step-by-step will-they-won't-they?

JFC.

When I started having sex, I had a few conversations with my close friends, certainly not with my parents and definitely not on prime time fucking television!

The Truman Show had nothing as twisted as this.

I hope Jazz sues every one of these fuckers when Jazz realises how much they've been exploited.

GeorgeFayne · 21/02/2019 06:55

This picture of Jazz just broke my heart. Jazz looks like a child, in severe pain, visibly suffering. How has this been allowed to happen???

GeorgeFayne · 21/02/2019 07:00

Oops! Here's the picture.

Awful. Just awful. A low libido has been INFLICTED on Jazz.

arunadasi · 21/02/2019 09:21

Ii had never heard of this person before reading this thread, as I am not interested in celebrity culture. It was an eye-opener--just horrific!
I had to laugh at this bit in the Women's Health article:

"Oh my god, that's crazy," she said. "It's a pretty vagina!" Jazz also had to learn how to use her new vagina, telling her family “I don’t think I know how to pee!”*

dos she really think that women pee through their vagina?

And then this: this is really the last thing that will validate my identity as a woman,” she said. “There is nothing else after this. I just get to be myself, be in the body that I’ve always wanted. And then I can live my life as just Jazz.”

I think she is in for a rude awakening. It's not just about sexual pleasure. It's about being even remotely attractive to the sex you are attracted to, be they straight or gay. You can scream Transwomen are women! All you want and most benign people go along with the fiction. But ask a straight man if they really believe that a post-op transwoman is exactly the same as a real woman, and he will laugh you out of town. Same with lesbians. Sorry, Jazz, there will be no validation here. Rather the opposite. You will experience a lot of rejection when it come to finding a partner.

What?!

You facilitate your child to surgically adapt their genitals for the express purpose of them being able to have sex as if they were the opposite sex to their natal one and then forbid them from exploring a sexual relationship under your roof. That’s some fucked up boundaries.

LangCleg · 21/02/2019 09:25

WHY do we know this stuff about this young person? This is abusive.

It's horrendous, isn't it?

Trousering · 21/02/2019 09:39

The kid is finally allowed to admit to being attracted to men. Don't forget the hideous episode where under hypnosis this child cried about the shame and family rejection for being homosexual.

TimeLady · 21/02/2019 09:48

The cynic in me wonder whether Jazz's attractiveness might be enhanced by her media presence and bank balance. I wonder if she's twigged yet that the TV revenues should perhaps all be paid to her now she's eighteen.

Datun · 21/02/2019 09:57

He's trying to create the fiction that jazz is just a normal young teenage girl, isn't he? They all are.

Ignoring the fact that every single intimate part of Jazz's life, genitals and sexuality is being sold for money, over and over.

Lamaha · 21/02/2019 10:03

Been lurking (and posting a few times under a different name) but this came up:

Note that the (seemingly good) article effectively comes from the Witherspoon foundation, who are part of the Conservative right. The disconnect between the UK and US is perplexing. Why aren’t American liberals speaking up.

I wanted to say this: I am a writer (novelist) and have belonged to a close USA-based network of writers for over a decade; I am UK based. The writers in that network consider themselves as extremely progressive. With a few exceptions, they all hate Trump and went into meltdown when he won in 2016. There are many lesbians, queers, and at least one transsexual. a transwoman who was that long before this new trend and whom I have always considered a virtual friend, reasonable, good to talk to etc. In the last few years a couple of the younger members seem to have transitioned mtof I did not follow the process as I've been less active. Many of these people are now my Facebook friends and have been extremely vociferously pro-trans telling anyone who is "transphobe" to defriend them immediately etc, and getting into rants about trans ideology. These are the most outspoken people; it's been quite disturbing and I never outed myself as gendercritical. I preferred just to watch and wait. Also, as a writer with books to sell on Amazon I do not want to get into any internet spats, or to get a reputation as a TERF.

What I have noticed in the last few days, is the loud silence. Not one of these FB friends have mentioned the present MN drama. There has been no comment by other writers and writers are usually VERY outspoken about current affairs, new developments, liberal issues, etc. On the forum maintained by this network not a single thread about this issue, no discussion, nothing.

I "know" many hundreds of writers, mostly novelists. I usually know their stance on most issues; they are usually uniformly liberal. I would have to assume that most of them are liberal on this issue as well, judging from the confirming comments the most outspoken ones have made on trans issues in the past.

Yet there is only silence.
These are usually dedicated pro-science people, mostly atheists. They do not accept faith in God.

Yet they accept and promote faith in the dogma Transwomen are Women, even if this goes against science, just because transwomen (aka men) claim it...

These people are all liberal feminists. They MUST have an opinion, one way or the other. But they are not speaking it out loud.

I'm beginning to think that a few of them, at least, are beginning to think, to reflect, to peak-trans...

There HAS to be some inner conflict. These people are not stupid. They are writers, published authors, some hugely successful.
Their silence actually speaks volumes.

Knicknackpaddyflak · 21/02/2019 10:11

That poor child. Any responsible adult involved in this appalling mess should be wondering a) what sort of partner signs up for a sexual relationship with someone who doesn't have a libido and may not enjoy it - seriously, what sort of partner is going to be up for that? and b) what are they setting this poor child up for as a result? Did anyone go and talk to the disabled community who have written a huge amount about the issues of a sex life and could have explained about things to consider when your body doesn't work as expect, there's pain involved, the mechanics are variable, there may be medical complications regularly in the way?

All this happy happy 'you may be asexual and yay that's just another identity!' is not the shiny door b option it's been made to look like.

Trousering · 21/02/2019 10:32

Lamaha, that's interesting and you may well be right. I have just read Alice Kruger's book, Galileo's middle finger. She documents the ups and downs of the social justice mindset really well, from her work as a medical historian. It's worth a read.

RockyFlintstone · 21/02/2019 10:52

I don't know where they have plucked Ahmir from, but again the question, what kind of person wants a sexual relationship with someone who hasn't been through puberty?

Having said that, poor Ahmir looks very uncomfortable with the entire thing from the clips I have seen. Jazz saying what Jazz thinks Jazz should be saying about sex, showing him her dialators, Ahmir looking a bit like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

It's like the 'ultimate prize' is that Jazz will have sex with a bloke. Jazz hasn't been through puberty (worth saying again).

Also, I have said it before, but despite all the blockers from such a young age, despite all of it, it is still fairly obvious to me that Jazz is male.

NotANotMan · 21/02/2019 10:57

Ahmir is a paid extra obviously

Without going into detail, online links suggest that Amir is a vulnerable adult too.
