I think we’re all on the side of women and free speech apart from a few posters who think we should be tarring and feathering some women for wrongthink.

Nazi's weren't only against Jews, as I'm sure you know their movement started out being framed as an oppressed group (oppressed by the Jewish community). They shut down any discussion of concern, got people fired for raising concerns, they bullied publications into shutting down and restricted what people could print and say.

They had groups which went I to schools to educate, which were funded by big business, the had police put up posters about reporting suspected Jews.

Anyone who didn't share their opinions were silenced. People didn't vote for gas chambers they backed something else, but it grew.

This is why free speech is important, it's why freedom of the press is important.

That is insane.

I think its noteworthy that that there are real lobby groups making links with groups formed through self id, democracy says we discuss it and people object or not but I am staggered that in a country where our main opposition party has made democracy unsafe for jewish people that you think that a line has to be drawn here. Many of those using Posie and this as a mark of their own goodness will be using that to directly support an actual risk of fascism in the UK.

I stand up to the far right every time, I do not stand with the christian right but by no measure in the UK is that wher ethe threat of real and dangerous fascism is.By. No. Measure.
