Previously:
Posie is bad, bad and bad.
Sodastream's are under whelming
We need to be nice for the bigger boys to like us.
Camp Coffee is revolting
Evidence is never presented for why our leader and saviour is bad.
Mr frosty is crap, all agree
TimeLady's mum made a camp Coffee cake back in the day.
Also a coffee kisses recipe is found.
The alt-right are mentioned a lot.
Paul McCartney gets a mention
So does Terry Pratchett's discworld.
Mr Fruity is remembered and discussed.
Nazi's were mention by early.
We were told we "need a common enemy"
(Why we need this is presently unknown.)

And now the exciting conclusion....

And wafers...

Earlywalker · 27/01/2019 17:07

I’m against self ID, as I’ve said many times. My issue is with woman like the one being discussed, who is clearly anti - woman’s rights and choices, speaking about an issue that affects woman as if she is doing it in the name of woman.

Imo bigoted people have found the feminists POV and jumped on it as an acceptable way to share their bigotry out in the open.

That should not be acceptable.

Nightwitch · 27/01/2019 17:09

Bloody loving this thread! So much food for thought.
All this talk of "anti abortion '" for instance.
I've always been firmly pro choice for pragmatism reasons but that doesn't mean I'm pro abortion. In fact I've come to realise I'm actually anti reasons for abortion. I'm pro quality sex education. Pro free, accessible contraception. Anti rape. Anti abuse. Anti coercion. Anti poverty. Anti pay gap. Anti discrimination of child bearing age women in the work place. Anti stigmatising of single mothers and their children and pro male accountability for their offspring.
Can I be a feminist?

ToeToToe · 27/01/2019 17:11

Ask EarlyWalker, Nightwitch. She's the self-appointed arbiter of what's acceptable in feminism now Wink

FlyingOink · 27/01/2019 17:14

Imo bigoted people have found the feminists POV and jumped on it as an acceptable way to share their bigotry out in the open.
The Heritage Foundation were stigmatised and sidelined until a British mum showed up to help them out?
I don't think so.

LangCleg · 27/01/2019 17:14

Anyone remember the Ariston and on and on advert? I can't think why but it keeps springing to mind.

FlyingOink · 27/01/2019 17:16

Nope it's the Duracell bunny I was thinking of. Still banging that drum.

Earlywalker · 27/01/2019 17:17

Glad to see MNHQ reinstated my post.

Do you think abortion and contraception is destructive to our society? Are you opposed to a woman’s choice of using contraception or having an abortion if she requires one? Or do you think that it’s your choice what she does? If it’s the latter, telling woman what they can and can’t do with their body’s is quite far at the top of ‘oppression of woman’, which is what feminism aims to deminish. Obviously just my opinion, I’m sure there’s plenty of feminist reasons for needing to prohibit any woman’s use of contraceptions and abortions, can’t think of any myself but there must be lots, right?

Oxytocindeficient · 27/01/2019 17:17

I really hope we aren’t going to have long arse thread with Early repeating the exact same thing over and over and over...

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 27/01/2019 17:17

I can't think why but it keeps springing to mind.

Probably because their toilets also hold a lot of shit too.

You’re welcome to talk back oxy you don’t have to sit around and wait for me to say something, please do share your thoughts with the class.

I was awaiting an apology really from your earlier post where you misread what was said and were very rude, that might be a nice way to start.

BonnieDoon · 27/01/2019 17:20

Nightwitch, I like your post.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 27/01/2019 17:21

you don’t have to sit around and wait for me to say something

On the last thread you implied you wanted us to wait for you?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 27/01/2019 17:22

In fact were you not suprised we continued without you?

LangCleg · 27/01/2019 17:23

Let's try once again for the hard of hearing:

Single issue political campaigns often make for uncomfortable bedfellows in which parties partaking need to temporarily suspend other hostilities.

Some supporters of those campaigns are willing to do this and others are not. There is no right or wrong overall choice - everyone must make up their own mind as how best their objective can be achieved.

This. Is. Very. Easy. To. Understand.

Pretending you do not understand means either you are a) very stupid or b) are enjoying the opportunity to splatter FWR with straw men, ad hominems and guilt by association.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 27/01/2019 17:24

It's free speech fantastic, it means we can act totally randomly, like fruit loops or in some cases like tape loops.

Earlywalker I think you’ve displayed bigotry repeatedly. Bigotry, is the intolerance of other opinions. You’ve literally said people who think certain things shouldn’t have a voice, attempted to back-track by saying you would debate them ( but Posie is a bigot for engaging with them in any way ) and also called us bigots by association with Posie, as well as claiming we are not feminists and anti-woman. You’ve even said you’d leave several times, insulted the intelligence of women here and stated that’s why you’re leaving. Yet you’ve joined the second thread on this issue. To repeat, repeat, repeat.

Earlywalker · 27/01/2019 17:24

Now captain there’s no need to twist things, is there?

I clarified that I stuck around because people continued to talk to me. I don’t appreciate the constant mis-quoting. There’s no need, you’ve made another thread so surely you have more important things to add to it than twisting around old posts from me?

Oxytocindeficient · 27/01/2019 17:25

Nope, I didn’t misunderstand anything. Why the heck would I apologise to someone who has been nothing but rude to women here? You’ve got a nerve. You’re obviously just trying to rark people up to get deletions. Try harder.

lisamuggeridge · 27/01/2019 17:26

Tinselangel. You wont regret this. IO have discovered ice cream is better when its cold and for some reason you dont get ice cream headaches.

ToeToToe · 27/01/2019 17:26

Lang & Oxy are dead right.

Oxytocindeficient · 27/01/2019 17:27

In fact were you not suprised we continued without you?

Yes, that is what happened. Once they flounce, we are then not allowed to respond to anything said previously. Are you not keeping abreast of the rules?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 27/01/2019 17:27

you have more important things to add to it than twisting around old posts from me?

I didn't twist old posts. But did you see my posts on the last thread, I highly doubt anything I ever post is important to anything.

Ice cream is normally cold 😉

This ^ it’s a not-so-clever way to prevent the rest of us having a thoughtful and interesting conversation that actually moves forward.
